Jen and I buckle our seat belts in preparation for takeoff. I look at Jen. She shaking her right leg a mile a minute and clutching the armrests of her seat. "Jen" I say. "Ya!" She replies instantly. She sounds as if she has an IV of espresso hooked up to her bloodstream. "Um, are you okay?" I ask "you're kinda freaking out a bit there". She looks concerned "is it that obvious?" She asks. I try not let my expression give away, but she can tell from the look on my face that she looks like a puppy in a thunderstorm. "I hate flying" she says "really really hate it. And usually I have Justin or somebody with me, but I just get all jittery and nervous". "Well you've got me!" I say in the most comforting voice I can manage. She cracks a desperate smile at me and is relieved slightly of her nerves. I hate how awkward I am at comforting people. It's not as much that I can't sympathize with them, as it is that I truly just don't know what to physically say or do to comfort someone. Do I pat them on the head? Grab their ass? I never fucking know. Jen is so good at comforting people though. You can just tell by the warmth in her voice, that even if she isn't feeling at her best herself, she will still do everything in her own power to make you feel better. The pilot announces once again that all passengers must buckle their seat belts and prepare for takeoff. The wheels of the plane start to grind until we are jerked forward. Jen instantly grabs my hand out of sheer fright. I place my hand on hers and tell her it will be alright. The plane is beginning to take its place on the runway. I look out the window. We are now on the runway and beginning to accelerate. Jen's grip grows increasingly tighter on my hand. I don't mind, after all, it is Jen. The plane is railing at top speed until the front wheels are off the ground. Now the back wheels. We are in the air. Jen's eyes are closed and her head is tilted back. She is taking deep breaths. We sit like this for a minute, just until the plane is high enough up where it begins to level out, and we are practically gliding on air. Jen releases her grip. "Oh my gosh hun, I'm so sorry, I didn't even realize I was grabbing onto you there! You okay?" She says is a flustered voice. "No worries!" I say cooly " I just forgot you were so hesitant about flying! Haha". She smiles and shifts herself completely towards me in her seat, kicks off her shoes, and curls her legs up underneath her like a teenage girl. I can't get over how fun she is. "So why are you flying to LA?" She asks me. I had completely forgotten about my endeavors while being with Jen all this time. I look up from twiddling my thumbs in procrastination to Jen "well I'm flying out to LA to meet some new foster parents." I was so embarrassed. I know I have no reason to be, I just sort of, was. Her eyes widen slightly and she takes a moment. "Really!" She replies. I can tell she doesn't know how to react towards this. "Well honey that's great" she says "I'm sure they will be lovely people". "I hope so" I say in a less than exited tone. She places her hand on my knee and assures me that everything will be just fine. Before I can change the subject to something else she asks me if I've ever met the couple. "Nope." I reply. "I don't even know their names". She presses her lips together and shakes her head in astonishment "that's just terrible! What if they aren't nice people?" She says. I schlump my shoulders in agreement. "I just go where my G.A.L (foster agent) says is next. Apparently these people have a few kids already and they are kinda on the weird side" I say. "That's it, I am not letting you stay with these people." Jen decides. She grabs her phone out of her back packet and begins dialing. "Jen who are you going to call? We are on a plane! There is no connection anyways!" I say. She points to a sign that says: First Class-Complementary Wifi. My jaw drops. This place is the shit! I laugh to myself and then remember Jen is calling someone...but who? Jen begins talking to a mumbled voice on her phone. "Hi hun!" She says "no I haven't landed yet, but this is going to sound really crazy so...just play along with me okay? So I'm sitting next to a lovely young lady named Alex...and...I was wondering if maybe she could stay with us for a while.". I stop swiveling in my chair and look up to meet eyes with a now ecstatic Jen."he said yes!" She squeals with excitement. I realize she was talking to Justin on the phone, and she just asked him if I could stay with them in their house. "Oh my god! Ahhhhh! Thank you thank you thank youuuu!" I scream and practically tackle Jen with a hug. She hugs me right back. We separate and I realize that I now have to call my agent and tell him that I've found someone else to stay with. I call him up and explain everything that has happened on the plane ride. The asshole doesn't believe me, and refuses to let someone take over for my already pre set foster family, so I hand the phone to Jen who then gives him an ass whooping over the phone. "Let's just say you won't have to hear from him for a little while!" Jen laughs and hands me back my phone. The rest of the flight was smooth sailing. For the next two hours we sat and just talked about each other's lives. It's so funny, I think I know all about Jen, every little detail, but then the second I talk to her that goes all out the window. She is the most normal gals gal you will ever meet. The seat belt sign light flashes and the pilot announces that we will be landing shortly. Jen holds my hand for the next five minutes. We land safely, and wait until the plane rolls up to the terminal before getting up out of our seats. Donna hands us our bags and smiles as we exit the plane together. Jen and are escorted at the gate by two very large body guards and a police officer. Jen pulls aside an airport worker and tells him to pick up my luggage along with hers at baggage claim and to bring them to her car. "Okay honey, I'm going to tell you right now, flat out, there are going to be a ton of people and cameras the second we get out there past those doors. That being said, Rick here will do his best to clear a path for ya" she points to one of the large security guards with a buzz cut and a suit on. "And whatever you do, don't let go of my hand" she says as she intertwines her fingers in between mine and we begin to walk outside to the street with her awaiting car and luggage. The second we get through the doors we are bombarded with a wall of fluorescent flashing lights in every direction creating a false barrier of confinement around us. I can barely see a thing, but I keep one hand on Rick's back to guide me in the right direction and I follow Jen's lead with her grip. Slowly we trudge to the black Mercedes as hundreds of people swarm me asking for my name and significance to Jen. I wouldn't answer them anyways, but even if I wanted to I don't see how they could possibly identify what I said with all of the screaming they are doing at each other. I somehow manage to crawl in through the opened car door and into the shelter of the tinted windows. I have never been so relieved to be inside a car in my entire life. I look at Jen in astonishment as we drive off. "How do you deal with this every time you go to the damn corner store to buy a roll of toilet paper?!" I ask. She shakes her head at me "it's a pain in the ass let me tell ya". We get on the freeway and continue driving along. We take the exit off up towards Jen's house. I'm enjoying the beautiful sunny California scenery. I have never been to California and this was certainly the absolute best way to spend it, with Jen. I rolled down the window and stuck my head out letting my hair whip about in every which way. Jen laughed at my childishness. The car slows down and we begin to cruise down a wide serene street. As we drive further along the street, the houses get bigger, the driveways longer, and the front gates get more and more regal. It finally smacks my brain that I am in a car...with Jennifer Aniston....driving to Jennifer Aniston's house....to live with Jennifer Aniston. My heart starts to race. Then my brain begins to process that I am about to meet Justin as well. My heart is palpitating. This is so much for anyone, let alone a faniston to take in all in one day. The car pulls up to a long rounded driveway with trees lining along both sides and leading towards a large red front door. The driver stops the car and we get out. Jen begins to get our bags out of the trunk. Before I start to help, the front door swings open, and out walks a familiar face. Justin Theroux.
