Part Two: Out of the Twoleg nest and onto the ThunderPath

Thorn stood over Tom, his paws glisting with blood. He narrowed his eyes coldly. I am Thorn, he thought. And I kill. Still, a speck of grief stabbed in his heart. He has done nothing to me, he thought, and I killed him. Backing away uncertinly, he shot one last glance at his friend and darted under a squishy rock.

 The Twoleg let out a cry of loss as it stared at the body of his cat. Then he turned to the empty cage. His eyes narrowed. Thornkit crouched lower under his rock. The Twoleg walked over to the large-rock and picked up a small, dome shaped rock with little small pebbles sticking up from it. It pressed a couple of them, then pressed it to the side of its head. After a bit, it started mewling. Thornkit felt horror rushing through him. Was the Twoleg finding more of his clan to fight?

Thornkit had to stop it! Leaping out from his rock, he clawed at the Twoleg's hairless leg. The Twoleg dropped the rock and howled. It then reached for him, yelping, and snagged his tail. Thornkit struggled away and lunged at the exposed flesh. Sinking his teeth into the Twoleg, he gagged as the sickening salty taste spread over his tounge. Wrenching
