"welcome to SM entertainment's 21st anniversary party" i read off the large banner thats hanging from the top of the SM building, instantly feeling butterflies erupt in my stomach with both anxiousness and excitement.
"wow, that's huge" jiyeon says as she hops down from the van and steps next to me, a wide grin plastered across her face.
"what are you guys waiting for? we've gotta get our seats" i hear minseo squeal from behind me before grabbing both jiyeon and i's hands and beginning to pull us towards the steps that lead to the back entrance door.
"i can't, i have to wait" i struggle to wiggle my arm out of her grip, looking at jiyeon with pleading eyes while she just laughs at me. almost immediately, minseo stops in her tracks and releases both of our arms before spinning around on her heels and turning towards me.
"no, you're coming with us" she says, a serious expression on her face with her arms are crossed across her chest, trying to come off as somewhat 'stern'. rolling my eyes, i flick her forehead, making her wince in pain.
"don't even try, maknae" i shake my head jokingly, earning a defeated glare from minseo. already giving up, she drops her arms to her sides and turns around, stomping her feet up the stairs with jiyeon quietly following behind her.
"why does she have to wait out here though?" i hear her curiously whisper to jiyeon, whom only shrugs in response before slightly turning her head towards me and mouthing "i got you". thankful, i flash her a wide smile as i watch the two enter the building through the sliding doors and disappear into the big auditorium.
as if on cue, my phone buzzes in my pocket, indicating that ive received a text message. i fish around in my pocket for my phone and pull it out swiftly before unlocking it. my eyes run across the screen, the name "sehunnie" slipping off my tongue and i instantly feel my lips curve up to form a smile.
sehunnie: are you there yet?
my fingers glide across the keyboard, typing out a "yes" before i press send. almost immediately, the typing bubble pops up and i receive another message from sehun.
sehunnie: how come you're always earlier than me?
sehunnie: you should go inside, its a little chilly out tonight
letting out a soft giggle, i text him back saying "ill meet you at the back entrance". i press the lock button on my phone, hearing the lock sound right after. turning, i peek around, looking for any signs of a black van, instantly spotting it among the crowded street. almost immediately, the sound of screaming fangirls erupt from the other side of the building, making me break out into a smile.
