I woke up to the sound of music. It played on and on continuously. It was classical. I was guessing Debussy.  Clair de Lune.  My eyes slowly fluttered open and saw a white room all around. Everything was blurry. I was in a dais.  There were tubes and IV’s connected to my arms and legs. I got up and hung my legs over the edge of the hospital bed.  I pulled the tubes and cords off of my body and got off the bed. I staggered around the room, from wall to wall, looking for a way out.  My legs finally gave out and I fell to the floor. I watched in confusion as the room around me changed. It was like how the walls in silent hill stared ageing in seconds. I backed up against the wall as I wondered. What’s going on? The white wall darkened to a shade of red. The floor became cracked. The bed became old and worn. Now I was thinking I was definitely on silent hill. A thing appeared in the corner.  It looked like an orc from lord of the rings.  It got up and came towards me. I just looked at it in wonder. Even as it came closer, I just marveled. Soon the room changed and the old room became a room full of razors.  All the razors started pulling towards the center of the room and created a man.  Well, I should say thing. It pulled a blade made of little razors. it came towards me and in backed closer to the wall. But it didn’t scare me. I knew in three seconds I could shatter all of those blades in a matter of seconds. The blade man melted in an instant. And everything went black. I felt a sensation of falling and then I stopped suddenly there was nothing. I couldn’t feel anything. Couldn’t hear anything. Couldn’t see anything. I was completely alone. There was nothing.

Fear crept in as I thought of some explanation. Then I felt a falling sensation again, I started to scream. Color came back as I saw the blue ocean as I was engulfed in water. I fought to stay above water. I looked down and saw nothing. I was being pulled down. I was losing air by the second. I took a breath but water came into my lungs. I screamed at the top of my lungs thinking by chance someone might hear me. I screamed and screamed. It always made me mad when people in movies did that. But now I understand why they did. Somewhere I heard in the back of my mind ‘stop the experiment’. I was falling deeper and deeper. The sirens are singing my songs. Soft music played through my mind as I fell. Darkness swallowed me up. I fell into an abyss of nothing.

I woke up in the same room as I did before. But this time there was no music. Only a book in front of me. I reached out for the book and took it in my hands. I looked up and notice a glass wall. I put the book down and got off the bed. I came up to the glass as a heard a buzzer and 3 men walk in. 4 if you count the one behind them. They parted to show a boy. 16 or 17.  A few years older than me.  He looked so familiar.  He looked at me for a second and his eyes flashed green. “Take her. Goodbye, love.” I knew it was him.  “Oli…Oliver!” the men took me and placed me in a room with a bed, a mirror, and a night stand. They flung me to the ground. I got up and I looked in the mirror and saw I was wearing only a hospital gown. My Carmel hair was everywhere. My skin was bruised and my skin was sickly pale.  I walked slowly over to the bed and sat down. I pulled my knees to my chest and sat there. Clair de Lune started playing as I lay down and cried.

I heard the door open and close as someone came and sat on my bed. I pretended I was sleeping until it stroked my face. I opened my eyes and got up. Across from me sat the boy. I backed up as he came closer. “How do you know my name?” “Oli, we’ve been friends since primary school… don’t you remember?” I moved closer to him so we were looking eye to eye.  I put my hand on his and he got up. “Get up.” He said. I got up. “Come closer.” I came closer.  ‘Oli wouldn’t hurt me… right?’ he pulled me close by the arms and just stared at me. He looked different. His eyes weren’t green anymore and they weren’t cat eyes anymore. They had a foggy gloss over gray eyes. Like cow eyes that had been soaked in salmonella.  His skin was pale now. And he had bags under his eyes.  “Are you alright?” I asked. He looked away and shook his head “Yeah… I-I’m fine.” He’s lying. A voice told me.
