On a lovely summers morning, my family and I decided to go out for the holidays, we were going to grannies for a week, everything was grand until all of a sudden I heard a strange sound coming from the garden , I ran to see what it was but it was gone by the time I got there so I decided to go back into the house . Everyone was delighted granny except me because I was more anxious to see what that odd sound was, I waited till mam and dad was gone so that granny was alone, I asked "granny, have you heard the sound?" she looked at me and said "what sound?" and I said" you know the humming sound outside in the garden? I went out to check on it but it was gone and I was wondering what is it" granny Lucy whispered into my ear and quietly said "yes I have, that's the tardis" as she smiled at me "the what?" "the tardis my dear" she said softly "you know that it belongs to the doctor, right? "why does a doctor need a tardis gran?, he's not sick is he?" granny laughed and smiled "No, not that sort of doctor, he's an alien" I was gob smacked about him being an alien but that didn't stop me , I wanted more information about this doctor, as gran kept talking , I thought to myself he must be a friendly alien who I should meet , I was at least 5 years old when this happened and Christmas was just around the corner .My name is James , and this is a story when I first met the tardis and the doctor , I asked gran could I go outside so I can come face to face with the alien known as the doctor and she turned to me and answered "why yes dear make sure you bring a jacket" I ran towards my jacket and dashed outside like a bolt of lightning, I was so excited to see an alien . I looked far and wide for the sound that it makes but found nothing I sighed but never gave up, I kept waiting day after day month after at this stage I was 20 and still no doctor , so I gave walked away .A year passed I had a family of my own and one night when everyone was fast asleep ... that sound from grans garden appeared again and it got louder this time so I walked downstairs pretending it was someone playing a prank on me when I opened the door , there he was standing almighty and that standing him was the big blue box as gran called it "the tardis" I was speechless to see that was there right in front of me and also kind of annoyed that he arrived now when gran had passed away ,I wanted answers but hadn't the courage to say anything, he just stood there and smiled , I waited until it got dark and asked "why didn't you come...? "come?" I waited but you didn't show up, why?" sorry I was trying to save the world from a race called the Daleks , did I miss anything?" "yes! my gran died" I shouted at him "oh...im very sorry tom wasn't it? " "yeah" "how are you tom" fine, is that the tardis my gran was talking about?" yeah want to see it?" yeah" I walk inside and observed every bit of the tardis" its bigger is the inside!" I know isn't it just" as he smiled
