Best friends

Chapter One- He's back

Of course only i would be running late to my 8 am class, my friends are already blowing up my phone asking where i am at.

"Olivia come down and eat some breakfast before you go i don't want you starting your day on an empty stomach" I'm rushing to put my shoes on i trip "coming mom"

As i am rushing to eat my toast my mom says the worst thing i could of heard this early in the morning "don't forget i want you home right after you finish your classes, we're having the Bieber's over for dinner tonight"

oh no if the Bieber's are coming over for dinner does that mean he's back?  "mom is Justin back in town?"

my mom gave the most annoyed look ever "yes he just got in last night and i don't want to hear any complains you will be here for dinner on your best behavior" i couldn't  believe my ears "but mo-" before i could even finish my sentence her hand was in my face "not another word Olivia, hurry up and get to class i will see you at dinner"

Im trying to listen to anything playing on the radio to help me keep my mind off of things, how could my mom just spring this dinner on me knowing our past.

"Olivia!! Finally you're here come on we gotta get to class now it's about to start!" only Adriana would make it a huge deal when we have five minutes till it starts.

During the entire lecture i could not concentrate today had to be the worst notes i have ever taken "and i will see you next Friday class dismissed!"  just like that i was brought out of my thoughts.

"girl what was going on with you during class? You looked like you were somewhere else" if anyone was gonna notice something was wrong with me of course it was Adriana.

As i was about to answer Lucy comes running up to us "hey guys whats up!" oh no I'm about to be cornered "Olivia was just about to tell me what is going on with her she was in lala land the whole class you should see her notes!"

They both stood there looking at me waiting for an answer "my mom just told me this morning that we will be having dinner with the Bieber's tonight" they both looked so confused

" why does that have you lost in thought?? you like the Bieber's??" she's not understanding me "adri all of the Bieber's Justin just arrived last night and theres no way for me to get out of this dinner."

realization hit them both instantly " are you kidding you're being forced to go eat dinner at the same table as Justin?!'' the look on her face expressed perfectly what i had been feeling all morning

"exactly! why is my mom forcing me to do this !" they're both shaking their heads "don't you remember the last time he was in town and we tried saying hello he looked at us like he had never seen us in his life before and walked right past us''

Lucy was right since Justin had risen to fame he forgot all about his friend back home, became stuck up and forgot all about his life before the fame.

"yeah i remember, but its so much more than that." talking about him only made me dread going home that much more.

"guys i need to study a bit before i need to go home" for the next couple of hours we sipped on our iced coffees working on our homework cracking jokes with one another i glanced at my phone it read 4:20 pm and i had a text from my mother "Olivia i hope you are on your way home already the Bieber's will be here at 6 and i need help setting up. drive safe, hurry home.''

i set my phone back into my purse as i quickly start packing up my things, "guys I've got to go my mom needs me to help her set up and i really need to mentally prepare myself'' they both gave me a sympathetic look "if you need anything text me and i will be there immediately okay" Adriana got up and gave me a tight hug "me too you can always count on me" Lucy added  "thank you guys i just really hope i can get through this dinner and avoid him for the rest of the time he is here".

as i am rushing home i start to try relaxing myself of course he's going to want to see a reaction from me and its the last thing i am going to give him.

"Hey kiddo how was your day?" my dad flashed me the sweetest smile pulling me into a big bear hug

"it was long dad I'm just really dreading the dinner" my dad kissed the top of my head "yeah i know, but you need to forgive and forget I'm sure Justin has matured since the last time you two saw each other"

sure its been 3 years since the last time we ran into each other but i am sure he hasn't changed not one bit since then. i kissed my dad on the check and ran to my room, i touched up my makeup and added a winged liner just to make it more dinner appropriate.

as i am looking through my closest i chose a skin tight red mini dress with some black stilettos if i am gonna have to have dinner with him i will make sure i look my best. i pull my auburn hair out of my bun spraying some dry shampoo giving me some bouncy waves. i looked into the mirror and realized i was missing something, a bold matte red lip would complete this look as I'm applying it i couldn't help but smile at the thought of the look on Justin's face when he lays his eyes on me. i spray my favorite perfume and run downstairs.

"well don't you look beautiful, here go set up the table." i start taking the plates, napkins, spoons, forks, knifes setting each place for our guest, as i finish setting the last place the door bell rings.

My dad was already at the door before they could ring it a second time "Hello welcome!" i glanced over and the first person i see walk in is pattie she's just as beautiful as i remember.

"Olivia! sweetie you look so beautiful how are you?" she pulled me into a tight hug  " Im great pattie you look wonderful yourself its so good to see you again!" as i look behind her i see my mother and father greeting Justin's grandparents Michael and Diane, then he finally walked in it was like the world stopped in slow motion, we locked eyes for a moment and i looked away quickly.

I'm watching him carefully as he's shaking my fathers hand and pulling my mom into a hug, kissing her check. He must think he is so charming, but i see right past his nice guy act.

i was so lost in my thoughts i didn't even realized when he finally reached me. "hello Olivia long time no see" before i could even get a word out he pulled me into a hug "you look beautiful by the way" i quickly moved away from his reach "thank you"

i hope that came out as dry as i intended it too. i walked past him to go hug and greet Diane and Michael who are sweet as always, i can not say the same for their grandson i gotta give it to him he is very smooth and I'm not falling for it.

"Okay everyone lets go sit down at the table dinner is ready". i walked toward the table taking a seat next to pattie, as i am putting my napkin in my lap i hear Justin "mom would you mind switching places with me" it all happened so quickly i barley had a chance to react as i looked to my side i locked eyes with Justin while he's giving me the biggest smirk.
