From werewolves to the Kanima there are hundreds of different types of supernatural creatures living in Beacon Hills. Below is a list of supernatural creatures you should know of before reading this book. There's also some extra info at the bottom about the change of a werewolves eye colour. (You don't HAVE TO read this but it might be helpful)

Shape shifter: A human or being with the ability to change their physical form whenever they please eg werewolf, hellhound, Chimera.

Chimera: A Chimera is a living being that has more than one set of distinct DNA in their genetic makeup. Chimerism can occur in living beings, including humans by either organ transplantation or vanishing twin syndrome.

Banshee: Banshees are human females who are an omen of death and can access the supernatural. Also known as "the waling women." Banshee's experience premonitions of someone's death. Their predictions manifest and appear as factors that will become the casual factor of near - or affirmative death experiences. Although their predictions do not always come true.

Werecoyote: a species of canine shape shifter. They are of the same class as the werewolf. A werecoyote behaves and functions similarly to the werewolf. Like human beings and wolves, they are social creatures.

Hellhound: Knows as "The Guardian Of Supernatural" or "The Black Dog." In many mythologies they are described as hunters and guardians. They safeguard elements regarding the supernatural world such as supernatural locations of massive power, the secrecy of the supernatural as well as the creatures of beings that inhabit that world.

True Alpha: A True Alpha is a shapeshifter who rises to Alpha rank solely on the strength of their character and sheer force of will. True Alphas are extremely rare, said to appear once in a 100 years. Much about them is shrouded in myth with no truly reliable source of information. A True Alpha's status and power cannot be taken, stolen were they to be slain like a regular alpha except for a beta of their own making.

Werewolf eyes:
Gold: Any werewolf born or bitten starts out with this colour eyes.
Blue: The eyes change from gold to blue after you take ad innocent life. If A shape shifter with blue eyes is losing their power, their eyes will change back to gold.
Red: A canine shifter with red eyes is an Alpha. Win one rises to Alpha status, whether they have blue or gold eyes, they will change to red. True Alpha or stolen, always red.
