They were finally together. After weeks of being apart, they finally got the reunion they had both desperately wanted.

"I though I had lost you," Wanda spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't hear from you so I grew to accept the worst."

Bucky pressed a single, lingering kiss to her lips. "I wouldn't leave you, Doll. I'm in this for the long run."

Wanda's lips curled into a ghost of a smile as she breathed in his familiar scent. "Never again. I don't like feeling that I lost you."

"I won't do that to you again. I'll ask to be assigned to tandem missions. I won't leave you like that."

Late nights with Wanda quickly became Bucky's favorite thing. The midnight whispers they shared fueled the flame that was growing posthaste. As the flame grew, so did his feelings for her.
