Chapter 1 Shot Down (edited)

       We where flying for a few hours now. I know Midnight is starting to grow tired. It has been a long day for the both of us. Leaving home to find a new one is hard.

      To break the silence i started to sing an old song that i wrote a long time ago.

It was a simple Melody that came from the heart. It expressed how she felt and how her it who she was on the inside. Not the tough chiefs daughter but the soft innocent girl that was scared about new things but risked the adventure
    As soon as i finished i noticed that something was really wrong. I noticed a little to late when all the sudden i felt an intense pain in my leg. There was an arrow sticking out of my leg. Not long after Midnight screeched painfully and then i fell.

     Midnight launched me off her back and i fell i saw land was coming and fast and saw the water i tried to aim but I missed terribly and hit the edge of the cliff before tumbling down and it into the water.

     Everything hurt, was all i could think about. I was still under the water so i tried to suface but i couldnt. It hurt too much to move my leg.

      I noticed my right leg was twisted funny. Right now i need to get to the surface. I need to get to midnight . So i swam up despite all the pain.

      As soon as i surfaced i saw midnight  in the water looking for me. As soon as i tried to reach her i saw black spots in my vision. I couldn't get to her in time as i blacked out. Not before i felt something wrap around me.

**Shadows POV**
     I was flying listening to my rider sing. Her voice is like an angel singing. All the sudden an arrows came out of nowere and I tried to dodge it.

    I heard my rider yelp in pain. Before I was struck in my fin with an arrow. I roard in pain and I accendently flung my rider in to the rocky waters below.

    I fell with her and tried to find her in the water. I went searching for 5 minutes before her head popped out of the water.

    She was trying to reach me with such a pained expression. I went to reach out before she passed out. I luckly got her on my back before it was too late.

I managed to get to an island not to far off from here. It looked ok to rest for the night. I wrapped around my rider before I went to sleep.
