I was sitting on the Hogwarts Express, waiting for it to start moving. I had been sitting here like an hour ago. I was starting to get impatient.
I needed to keep my mind distracted or else I would start thinking about my parent's murder and will start having really intense flashbacks. And I didn't want that.
I stared at the seat in front of me. Empty.
There was no one I could talk to, to get my mind distracted.
It was a cold day. I was wearing the same clothes I had worn yesterday when I went to buy my wand, which turned out to be a Vinewood one.
I was wearing a black blouse, jeans and my favourite pair of black converse. I was in such a hurry for getting out of my old house that I didn't have time to tie up my hair.
I really didn't want to go into my flashbacks.
I was starting to panick....
Suddenly, two boys who looked my age came and sat in front of me. What a relief. They were talking so they didn't notice me.
They were so alike.
"Twins?" I asked.
"Absolutely" they replied at the same time, smiling at me.
I couldn't help but laugh. They laughed with me.
"So, what's you name?" one of them asked.
"I'm Crystal. And you guys?"
"I am Fred and he is George." the first one said.
"I don't believe you! I bet he is Fred and you are George. Right?" I wasn't going to fall in that trap.
"You are really smart. I think you could actually be our friend. It's not everyday you find someone that doesn't believe our lies." Fred said, reaching for my hand and kissing it.
"Thanks...I think"
They laughed and I joined.
"Fred, I think she is smarter than what we are giving her credit for." George whispered to his brother.
"Yeah, maybe we should make her join us. I don't want to throw any pranks at her, she is really nice." Fred whispered back.
I just stared at them. They kept whispering for what seemed like hours and the train had alredy started travelling.
After some minutes, they kept talking about me in whispers.
"Ummm.... You guys realize that I am here? It feels really akward to hear you talking about me like I was invisible or something"
They laughed.
"Sorry, twin's stuff." Fred apologized.
George looked at him amused while Fred just smiled at me. I smiled back.
"So guys, what house are you in?" I changed the subject.
"Gryffindor!" they said at the same time, again.
"Well, I want to be in that house then."
"It would be great! We could eat all together. We could go to the Quidditch games together, too!" Fred cheered.
George just looked at him and then smiled at me.
"I think my brother is being really childish. Please forgive him" he said smirking.
I laughed and George joined me.
Fred was now looking at the floor and blushing.
"Awww.... don't be like that. We are just joking, okay? We weren't serious.Sorry" I tried to help him but I couldn't stop laughing.
"Don't worry Crystal, it's not your fault. But you George, better watch your back." he glared at his twin.
That made me laugh even harder and this time Fred was the one who joined me. George had gone pale.
Fred changed seat so he was now by my side and George was in front of us.
We started talking and learning about each other until I got really tired and just closed my eyes and fell aslpee.
"Hey, Crystal. Wake up, we are arriving." Fred told me.
I opened my eyes to see that my head was on his shoulder and that I was hugging his left arm.
Crap.
I quickly moved away from him as I blushed.
"Sorry" I blurted out.
He just smiled at me kindly as George chuckled. I kicked George.
"Ouch!" he complained.
"You deserved it" I defended myself.
Fred high-fived me. Then we all started laughing again.
The train came to a stop and Fred helped me carry my baggage to the entrance. That's when the twins had to leave to their houses common room and I had to wait to be assigned a house.
"Bye, hope to see you later" George hugged me.
"Same"
"I hope you get in Gryffindor. Fingers crossed!" Fred said as it was his turn to hug me.
"I....I...." I couldn't bring myself to say anything because of the fact that he was hugging me was making me breathless.
"Fred, I think you are going to make her faint" Geroge chuckled.
"Right." Fred smirked. "See you around."
And with that they left.
I made my way through the dinning hall with all the new students. My heart was going really fast. I didn't feel comfortable with all of the school looking at us, so I just looked to the floor.
I had to wait for my turn to wear the really weir hat that would tell me in which house I was.
Finally, when it was my turn, the hat started to think and say really strange things while being on my head.
"Ummm.... I see... Maybe you should be in Ravenclaw....No, nevermind. You should be in Hufflepuff. No! That's not a good idea.Maybe Slytherin....." when he said that I froze. Wasn't Slytherin supposed to be for the mean people?" GRYFFINDOR!"
Thank God!
I smiled as I walked to the table were all Gryffindors were siting.
"Over here!" I heard someone call me.
I turned around and saw Fred and Geroge. Fred had been saving me a seat by his side.
When I sat down by his side he hugged me again. Was this going to turn into a routine?
I hugged him back this time and he looked really surprised as we pulled away.
We smiled at each other and blushed when George laughed at us.
"I think you should marry!" he laughed.
"What? No!" Fred and I replied at the same time.
We looked at each other and blushed again as we looked down at the food that had just appeared in front of us.
This was going to be a really long dinner.
