-Your background story-
You live on the Iron Islands in the small village below the castle, your father had recently passed away due to the sickness over loading the village. You would always help him work on the boats but since he is gone you decided to stop exploring on the seas an accepted a more womanly job in the castle above the village, you even got your own chambers in the castle. It was the best you could do to survive in these times. Cleaning and serving wasn't your specialty but you managed to do your best even at these retched times.
-End of background-
-Y/n pov-
I woke up to hear the sound of beautiful birds chirping, more like ravens screaming on the balcony of my room. I still haven't gotten use to living so high up in the castle I miss my tiny shack of a house in the town below. Getting sleep in a castle so high up in the sky is very challenging, the birds don't quit.
I really don't want to get up its fairly early for me, I squirmed in my twisted blankets trying to get out of bed. The struggle ended after about five minutes. I walked over to my mirror and braided my hair back, I then got dressed into my everyday maid clothing. It was a light blue dress with straps going around my neck. I put on my shoes and walked out into the long hallway.
Making my way down to the kitchen to clean the dishes for the cooks I passed many chambers with doors cracked open and in at least every chamber there is a person coughing horribly in it. I guess the sickness is getting around the castle now, I must be cautious. At the moment no one really knows why everyone is getting sick. This hasn't happened in what seems like centuries.
I finally made my way to the kitchens I greeted the cooks and walked over to the dishes and washed them the best I could, I scrubbed them extra because of the virus going around. We don't want the lords getting sick now do we. Once I finished the dishes I helped the cooks prepare the meals, I then brought the meals to the dinning hall. At first the room was empty but once I placed the plates down and poured wine in the mugs the door opened. I quickly moved away from the table turning around to bow.
As I was doing so I heard a cough which startled me at first, I rose from the bow to see it was Lord Theon Greyjoy. He looked very ill, I didn't know what to do. I kinda froze at the point. I am face to face with the Theon Greyjoy. I must say he is rather handsome even though he is ill. I suddenly moved to let him sit at the table. He walked faster than I had expected he would since he is sick an all. I turned to walk back to the kitchens but was interrupted by him.
"You should rest, you look awfully tired." He spoke in a raspy voice while sniffling. I turned around to look at him, I opened my mouth but I couldn't speak nothing would come out. I had a weird feeling stir up in my stomach, what is this even.
"I mean no disrespect an all, you just seem tired. Plus you shouldn't be out here when everyone in the castle is sick, you shouldn't risk it." He spoke again looking up at me, his eyes were droopy. He looked so miserable but yet so perfect. I stared at him for a bit a little shocked I should say. Why would a lord be talking to a maid?
"No, its alright I just don't want to sit in my chambers all the day ravens are quite loud today. No offense but you look rather ill you should be the one to get rest my lord." I spoke softly trying not to offend him in any way.
"No offense taken, I to don't want to sit in my chamber either. It is quite lonely in there, I don't like sitting around to wait for a little cold to pass by when I can still walk." He coughed, I went over by the chair he was sitting in. I took his hand in mine slightly pulling him up from his chair, he stood up confused as to what I was doing. I to, don't know what I am doing I wasn't thinking.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a whisper still holding my hand lightly.
"You need to rest my lord." I spoke looking up at him, he was taller than I had thought. He looked at me still confused with a bit of shock in his face.
"I already said I don't want to be in my chamber all day when I can walk." He spoke softly in my ear still holding my hand. I must say he is quite gentle.
"My lord, do you want to heal faster?" I said starting to walk him to his chambers. There is no way I am going to see him sit their like a miserable child all by himself when he is sick and needs help.
"Well, I guess." He sniffled under his breath, we walked for a while in the halls. Once we reached his chambers I opened the door slowly and lead him to the bed. He laid back as I pulled the covers over him.
"There, now get some rest my lord." I said while turning around but I couldn't walk away, he took hold of my hand an sat up. I felt his arms wrap around my waist pulling me down to lay with him.
"I can't rest in such a lonely chamber." He smirked pulling me closer to his chest. I slowly leaned in closing my eyes.
"I guess I could stay for a while." I whispered against his chest, I drifted off to sleep after I felt his lips softly kiss my forehead. This was a new beginning.
