Charlie's POV
Rain drops tickled down the window and dark clouds hovered over head. Pullman, Washington was basically a second home to me apart from cloudy New York City, New York. WSU had been my college for the past four years and finally, I was Senior and I would graduate in a few months time. But I didn't want to leave rainy Washington for the big city of New York. It was my home, yes, but I enjoyed it much more in college here, than I did in High School there. Seattle was simply my favorite place to be.My parents hated the fact that I was across the country from them, as did my little brother Lucas. He would be the one reason that I would want to go back home, him and dad that is. My mother was someone who would have something to say about everything I did. Mostly her comments were 'constructive criticism' as parents like to call it. She put me down about my clothing style and tried to mold me into this 'perfect daughter' that I didn't want to be. Lucas and my dad were the only non-judgmental people in my family.
But I truly loved it here. Junior year was when I finally got popular after getting wasted a frat party my friend took me to. I was known as the party girl for a while, but like, not a slut. Most people knew me for being the sweet, mysterious, volleyball jock that wore a Letterman jacket. I had my main group of friends, only having two of my very best friends. Eleanor Calder and Louis Tomlinson. Also known as the High School sweethearts and the 'it' couple here. I've known both of them since Louis jumped on my back because I took one of his crayons in 1st grade and Eleanor when she came to rescue me from the 'strange boy.'
But here I am, sitting in the passenger seat of Eleanor's cherry red Mustang as she headed for the latest frat party. I hadn't been big on coming to this one because it wasn't at Louis' fraternity house, but at his apparent best friends fraternity. Seeing as I really didn't want to go to this one in particular party, I wore black leather pants with a plain white tank top. My Letterman adorned my shoulders of course whereas Eleanor was wearing a tight red cocktail dress with black heels.
We pulled up to the familiar street that Louis' fraternity was on and went all the way down to the dead end. Cars were lining the roads in front of the unfamiliar frat house as lights flashed and music blared. I smiled over at Eleanor and got out of the car with her right behind me. We walked up to the house in silence and entered the frat house in search for Louis.
"I think he's in the back yard!' She yelled in my ear, still barely audible. "I'm gonna go check and see, I'll meet you in the kitchen!"
I nodded and disappeared into the crowd, pushing and shoving passed sweaty bodies. A midst the group of couples having dry sex and random people attempting to get me to dance, I neared the end of the large group. Sighing I relief, I pushed passed a few more people and emerged in the spacious kitchen to find only a few people talking and drinking. Thank God. I thought and grabbed a Mike's Hard Lemonade from the counter.
Once I had brushed the stray pieces of hair that had fallen from my messy bun I took a sip of the drink and leaned back against the counter. This party was bigger than the ones at Lou's fraternity and I knew this one must have more guys that knew more people. Don't get me wrong, parties are great, its just this one is a bit different. The room reeked of Marijuana and sweat, which was different from the usual smell of cigarettes and vodka in the other frat house.
I'm never coming back here. Hopefully.
A small tap on my shoulder cuaght my attention and broke me from my reverie. I looked up, my eyes meeting a pair of emerald ones staring back at me. The tall boy smiled down at me and backed away to give me a bit more space.
"We're playing Suck and Blow and we need one more person. You wanna play?" He asked, his voice deep and raspy with a British accent.
"Uh Sure." He instantly smiled once again and grabbed my wrist and tugged me into a separate room.
"Hey Charlie," Josh called from across the circle we had made. "Didn't think you would show tonight."
"Please Joshua," I teased with the wave of my hand. "Don't make me laugh. I'm always up for a party." He smirked slightly and shook his head and waited until the paper was passed to his by a small blonde.
The small rolled up paper was passed around the circle until it came to the mystery boy, who turned to me, his eyes alight with playfulness. I leaned forward, my lips almost touching the paper before it dropped to the ground in between me and the boy. He smirked looked down at the paper then back up at me.
"Oops?" He struggled casually and leaned forward to connect our lips before I could protest.
His arms wrapped around my waist and my fingers tangled into his hair as the simple kiss turned into a make-out. I let his tongue slip into my mouth and his grip tighten on my waist while his tongue explored my mouth. Saying I liked his lips on mine was on understatement. I loved them.
"Well, well, well," Louis' familiar Donaster accent made us pull away. "Looks like you two have gotten aquianted already."
"Wait," I looked at the curly haired boy who was still smirking like an idiot. "You're Louis' best friend, Harry?" He nodded and I shook my head. "Of course you are. I'm gonna get a beer. This party has already gotten to me enough."
I got up from the circle and looked to Eleanor for the keys to her car so I could get back to our dorm room. She sighed quietly and tossed me the keys before giving me a small wave. Giving her a thankful nod, I gripped the keys tightly in my hand and exited the Frat house for hopefully the first and last time.
