I walked in to see Emmy holding her new little.... brother!
i couldn't help myself from letting a smile spread from ear to ear by just looking at Emmy's mama holding the baby.
"Oh my gosh...he's so small....he's so delicate...he's so cute!" i whispered as i slowly walked closer.
i have always wanted a baby brother or sister but my mom said she won't have another kid
and i'm so close to this family
i can't wait to see him grow up.
"you can hold him hun" Emmy's mom said smiling at me
"okay" i said smiling
•couple hours later•
it was 9:23pm. Emmy and her mom fell asleep cuddling in the hospital bed.
i sat in the chair drifting off until a warm hand was placed on my shoulder.
it startled me, you know, being alone in a hospital room and all of a sudden you feel somebody place there hand on your shoulder...that's kinda scary
"oh hi... what are you doing here?"
i said smiling at Caleb
"oh sorry i didn't mean to scare you, well when u texted me around 9:15 saying you were still here, i decided to come keep you company while you sit here waiting for them to wake up."
he said proudly
"oh i knew they weren't gonna walk up, i just decided to sleep
in the chair till morning."
"oh, well are you sure you wanna sleep here? it looks uncomfortable..." he said.
"oh, i just don't have a ride home! haha" i said, i didn't know why that was funny but he giggled too.
"i can drive you home and drive you back in the morning!" he offered.
"are you sure?!" i looked at him shocked.
"yes, of course! c'mon."
he said as he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the hospital room.
"woah, slow down man!" i giggled as he was running, pulling me behind.
"oh sorry, it's just..the taxi is waiting!"
"taxi?" i asked confused
"yeah, i came here in a taxi"
"oh...i thought you could drive."
i said, i hope that i didn't sound disappointed.
"i can, my car is getting fixed, i got in an accident about 2 weeks ago, my car should be as good as new by tomorrow night!"
he smiled.
"oh uhh, that's good" i laughed at his character.
after the taxi drove me home
i paid the driver and plopped on my bed and fell into a deep sleep full of dreams...
