Emery's P.O.V
By the time we got back in the car, we were all wearing different animal themed hats, carrying three stuffed animals, two shopping bags filled with candy and other things from the gift shop, and Elka was carrying a very tired Cory.   She buckled him in the car and got up front, where I proceeded to drive the two of them home.  As I pulled up, I grabbed her hand and smiled at her.  "I'll walk you in."  I scooped Pug out of the back seat and carried him to the front door.  He had woken up by that time, so I handed him one of the stuffed animals and a bag of candy, and he shuffled inside.
"I had a really great time today with you, Emery.  Thanks for coming with."  I just gave her a side smirk.  "Anything for my favorite girl."  She laughed and covered her mouth, her face turning completely red.  Then she looked at me.  Her eyes staring deep into mine, I couldn't help myself.  I grabbed her by the waist into a kiss.  It felt like it could've lasted forever, until we were torn apart by a familiar voice.  "Well, hello.  You must be Emery."  I opened my eyes and looked around Elka's head.  A middle-aged woman's face looked back at me.  Ella jerked her head around with a big breath and said, "Mom, this is Emery."  I reached out my hand to shake and properly introduce myself.  Her mom smiled at me softly and shook my hand.  "Elka, it's 12 minutes past your curfew.  Say goodbye to Emery and come inside."  With one last hug and a thank you Elka wandered inside the house.  Her mom gave me one last smile and said, "Thank you for taking them out.  It helped a lot.  Drive safe."  Before I could respond the door was closed.  I turned around, smiling so side that my cheeks starting cramping.  I pulled my phone out of my pocket and immediately texted the FIYM group chat.
Me: hey guys.  Gr8 day.  Elkas mom saw us kidding, but shes cool so idc.
Ricky: heck yeah buddy
Liam: knew it.  Brooke and i were out here cheering you guys on!!
I got in my car and right as I turned the key, noticed a piece of paper folded up on the passenger seat.  I picked it up and unfolded it, only to see a drawing of what looked like the three of us and a tiger done entirely out of crayons.  I laughed under my breath a little and folded it back up into the glove compartment.  Starting my car and my journey home, my phone rang.  No caller ID, but I picked it up anyways.  "Hello?"  No answer.  "Hello, who's calling?"  Still no answer.  Whatever.  Probably a wrong number or something.  I hung up and continued on my journey in silence.
