Hello my name is Rose Dark, queen of all vampire type and spouse to Nicholas Dark. If you wanna get to know a little bit about me, please take a seat.

I clocked in every morning briefly around the same time, five o'clock.  My hair was always knotted up into a bun and I always wore my white nipped doctors jacket. Seeing patient to patient became exhausting but there are some that you just adored. You see before Nicholas and I became an actual "thing" he was a patient of mine, but I'm getting a little ahead of myself.

I say it was maybe mid spring but then again no one seemed to keep tract of that anymore. Seasons just turnt into blank canvas of time. Anyways, I remember waking up one evening sweat and panic across my face. I didn't know what to take of this dream. I envisioned my skin paler than usual and two small boys one light brown and the other deep brown. Both boys held my hand tightly as I saw a disfigured male in red. His, what seem to be, red cape flew gracefully through the wind as he looked upon his...kingdom. I must of been his lover? Maybe even his wife?

The clocked continued ticking as hours grew effortlessly. I slipped into my uniform and newly white sneakers. Another day another patient. Clocking in and grabbing the documentation for my first patient, Nicholas Dark. I placed the file along my side as I drank my last bit of coffee. "Good evening Mr. Dark," I looked at him, " that's one interesting last name. I'm Dr. Rose. So what do we have here?" He proceeded to enchant me. Saying he needed a check up and a couple of blood test ran, for health precautions at work. He briefly explained he worked in a laboratory and he'd been working with many chemicals but was not allowed to elaborate.

"Well Mr. Nicolas, the last thing we need to do is the eye examination. If you like to continue this way." I watched as he removed his  glasses and stuck them in his jacket. He combed his, slightly lengthy, brown hair back and sat down.    "Well looks like everything is good here Mr. dark." " thank you Dr. Rose," he said as his voice charmed its way over my ear lobes, " by the way if I'm not pushing any doctor-patient rules —I'd really enjoy if we could grab some coffee later?" I had to admit he was rather charming and quite handsome. I watched as he smirked his last words. "I'm sure grabbing coffee wouldn't hurt." I said as I gave him the results of his blood test.

My day continued patient after patient—but for some unexplainable reason I was, excited for coffee after work.  Clock out. The time had finally arrived and I obviously had Nicholas' number, benefits of being his doctor. We met at a coffee shop around the corner. We ordered ours separately just to keep it slightly professional between us. We grew lost into our conversation. He told me how his parents had died of old age and I, somehow, told him the tragedy of both my parents passing due to a fatal plan crash.

Over a period of time I had to tell Nicolas that we could no longer be Patient and Doctor because, what we had, was growing into something more.  There was a night where I had that reoccurring dream but this time— I could see the face of the man and it had, in fact, been my Nicholas. Eventually we got married and had a beautiful honey moon in Venice courtesy of Marcus, Nicholas' best friend.

Fast forward. One day Nicholas came home he seemed eager, stress, and smelled of the lab. I playfully teased him into taking a shower, as I headed out the doorway to grab dinner for tomorrow. I knew he seemed a little off but I mean who wouldn't when they had pressure as such on them?

The next morning. I woke up early, knowing Nicholas would be leaving in a few hours. As I was placing his steak with his favorite sides inside of a lunch box I heard the steps squeak. "Well good morning, early bird." Exchanging words I watched Nicholas begin to rush out the door, "wait. Don't forget your glasses." I handed them to him, he kissed me and went off to work.

Truth be told. Nicholas just told me what was happening, that he and, his partner, Marcus created a contagious virus. It was powerful but also could be deadly. My heart began to freeze as he explained to me the infections ways of the virus. He explained that child birth would never happen, that we'd no longer have heart beats.  I looked at him and promised that no matter what, I'd love him til the end.

Kingdom. As we had all grown into these creatures, known as vampires, we all united into our very own kingdom. Nicholas taking charge and Marcus his right hand man. There had been something mysterious that I informed Nicholas on. After millions of test and many unattainable answers we realized that I was pregnant. I held my stomach as I looked into his eyes. "How is this possible?" He looked back into mine, "I do not know." He said as he touched my stomach, "but we must take care of you be sure, that this will be a normal pregnancy."

Birth. I cried as I held my very first born child. He was Olive pale with dark, nearly black, hair we named him John. My eyes filled with tears of joy as I cradled him. Four years later I welcomed my second child, David. His hair, a slightly brighter, brown and his skin not as pale but still a similar olive pale.  The first, and probably only, full born vampires.

Nicholas trained them to be powerful from nearly birth . My dream had simply been a vision of my future, strange. I loved my husband and my family. I loved becoming the queen of this kingdom. I loved our kind and our people.

Undetermined war. One night as I sat along side David during dinner I heard a howl. I had been unaware of these new creatures, werewolves. Nicholas and Marcus  darted off leaving John and David behind to protect me. My sons everything will be ok, my hand resting upon their cheeks.

War. I sought, in distance, a beast. Wait here my child. I tried to make peace. I ran out  the tower as David stood behind. "Please, why are you doing--"  I remembered I felt a blade shatter me. David ran out to me falling to his knees. "Mother.." he held me close as my blood spilled into the cracks of the grounds. He begged for me to tell him who had done this. My very last words were not explainable. We're left unfinished.  Had I or would I ever be able to protect them?
What would become of my dear boys?
