They classify me as a 'madd scientist' so I assume that's a good thing. If it would intrigue you to learn more, listen in.
My name is Marcus De Leon. I am a descendent of a strong spanish family with great genes and white hair. It is said my family were of the Aztec, the gods, whether or not that is true it is fun to play & tease others about it. Anyways that's a little off the topic.
I've always been intrigued by the world of "what if" and "how's". Figuring out how things worked or what if these two chemicals were merged together it always captivated me. I studied to become a scientist which is where I later met ,my collogue and best friend, Nicholas Dark.
He and I grew close and graduated from, obviously, the same class. He was more responsive and logic with his decisions, later convincing me to join his team of scientist which I did.
I watched as he grew to love and marry, as best man. I did appreciate his ability to commit, takes guts. I was never truly forsaken into this whole synthetic "Love" thing. Sure I wanted a family to pass on the bloodline, but I grew obsessed with experiments. Science was love.
I stayed up hours upon hours, sweat dripping from the edges of my face working on my home lab. Everything tied to perfection.
One night at the facilities Nicholas, my lab partner, and I were approached by the government. They requested us to find some sort of chemical enchantment or even a virus—but no one was to know.
We gathered a bunch of our men/women, other scientist, and many test subjects (mice) and began the experiment: The Plas. Has a nice ring to it right?
After numerous attempts and many failures I grew angry and tired. Grinding my teeth together and exhaling I padded Nicholas, "let's call it a night." Nicholas focused and continued working his last project. I gather a few of the mice that had previously been injected to set them in the examination rooms. As I headed back the the lab I tripped over my own feet. I know such a dumbness. The mouse in the container, which was in my hands, had tried to escape. I quickly reached for it grabbing it by the tail. As I lifted to place the little white mouse into the container again it bit me.
After disinfecting the finger, in which was bitten, I wrapped it up and went on.I hadn't thought about the mouse being injected. It hadn't even crossed my mind.
Tossing my lab jacket onto the hanger and loosing my tie i walked over towards the garage—adjacent to my at home lab. Inserting the results of today's experiments into the computer files, I grew a bit of a headache decided it was time to hit the sack.
The impulse of the headache was strange, in fact it's as if my vision was improving. I grabbed a couple of Tylenol from the top shelf taking my shirt off and laying into bed.
The next morning my thrust was at a all time high. I blinked and somehow ended up in the kitchen. Running my hand through my hair I grabbed a cold bottle of water and chugged it. Still thirsty. Hmm. I turnt my head as I had seen, well thought I saw a squirrel in the next room. I realized that it wasn't in the next room. I'd seen the squirrel through the window from across the house. But how? I wondered. My mind pondering and reciting the events that occurred.
Then the moment came to me. The mouse! My initial reaction wasn't panic but fortune. I needed this, I wanted this. Should I tell Nicholas? Of course, he is my best friend I mean....wouldn't he like to know? I gathered my belongs after showering and rushed to the lab.
Walking into the door one of our female assistants approached me, "Dr. Leon, there's a missing sample from the bin." I knew exactly who had done it, "No need to worry, I'm sure it was simply misplaced or someone forgot to write down the usage."
Nicholas came in nervous but excited. I approached him grabbing his arm, "do you know anything about a missing sample." He assured me he did and that he needed to speak more privately. Following him into our personal lab, "explain, now."
He proceeded to tell me how he had decided to try the experiment on himself, how he had results. We'd been testing on the wrong subjects. I sat down. "I know." As he looked at me in Curiosity, what do you mean —you know?"
I explained to him that as I was putting away one of the mice, that was infected, it had bitten me. I explained to him the headaches, my sight having greater strength.
We did it! Experiment: The Plas was indeed successful. Nicholas kept his word to the government that no one was to hear of this experiment— but not I! I was not going to let our best experiment go to waste and unnoticed! People were going to find out, so why not leave an anonymous tip?
Years have passed and the virus has grown uncontrollable. Nicholas and I had become some sort of gods/rulers of the vampire culture. We decided it was time for another experiment, something to control our thirst. Thus creating the blood suit. We created enough for everyone whom wanted them and for those in need of them.
Although we created these suits the humans still felt threatened. Nicholas, being the caring man he is, was convinced that we should make ourselves a new home. Filthy humans. Snorting to the thought I use to be so simple. We found a new home along side a mountain, with the work and hands of every vampire we created our kingdom. Which would be named The Vampirika kingdom.
I always worked along Nicholas' side and helped him in each and every way possible. One night as we began to feast in celebration of a joyous event his son, John, was being honored. One of the servants marched in panicking, "there has been a sighting of wolves"
