The party became too much. The alcohol, the sweaty bodies standing crookedly all throughout the house, and Liam were all just too much for Ellie. Her first 'popular' party she had ever gone to turned out to be a bust, simply just a waste of her time.

After getting off the phone with Niall, Ellie waited for him in front of a neighbor's house, pacing around the sidewalk until he showed up. She felt confused; Liam acted nice to her then suddenly he turned cold, as if he knew something and was just disgusted by her. Of course she had no clue how that feeling arose, but it still confused her deeply. As she thought about the previous experiences she had from earlier, a loud horn snapped her out of her thoughts. Smiling as she looked to her left, where just one vehicle was parked, she quickly walked over and opened the passenger door. Like usual, Niall was there for her, always saving her even though he wasn't obligated to do so.

"Hey Ni," Ellie said softly as she buckled the seat belt and got comfortable in his gray Ford F-150 truck. "Thanks for coming to get me," she added, closing the door shut and looking over at him.

"No problem love," Niall nodded at her, switching the gear from park to drive. Although he was curious and Ellie hadn't exactly explained her sudden want to leave, he decided not to ask the questions that were popping up in his head. "Where to? My place or yours?" he asked, driving slowly as he waited for her to make up her mind.

"Yours please," Ellie said, turning her head to the right to look out the clear window. She watched the trees, houses, and buildings pass by as Niall drove - watching the outside and seeing everything calmed her down in a way sometimes.

"You got it," Niall smiled, happy she was going to be going with him back to his place. "I say we watch a movie, eat popcorn, drink soda, and eat tons of ice cream," he smirked slightly, knowing she wouldn't be able to resist his offer. Niall knew Ellie incredibly well; they grew up together basically, meeting each other at the age of 5 in kindergarten. They both were sitting by themselves and Niall took all of his five-year old self's courage and sat next to her. Instantly, they hit off and were close to each other ever since then.

"Sounds great, chocolate ice cream though, right?" Ellie replied after a few seconds, the words he spoke snapping her out of her trance. "I'm out if there's no chocolate," she giggled; she knew he had chocolate but that was her response every time.

Niall chuckled mostly to himself, "Of course there's chocolate, it's like a law to have chocolate ice cream at all times." These times were his favorite - when he could sit next to Ellie on his couch, watch some cheesy movie with her and just enjoy their food in silence, with a laugh every now and then. He felt special, like that was just one thing they always did; it was sort of like an unofficial tradition between the two of them.

After another five or so minutes of silent driving, Niall slowly pulled up into a long, narrow driveway and got out of his truck, Ellie following after. The pair went inside his house, almost immediately getting to the kitchen. Each time they had a night like this, Ellie scooped the ice cream into bowls and Niall popped the popcorn - there was never a question about it, it was routine.

"Mean Girls, I feel like watchin' that film tonight," Ellie spoke up as the popping of the popcorn could be heard. "I know you love that movie so don't try to say otherwise," she giggled, smirking proudly at him. When she picked the movie, Niall always complained it was too girly or too much of a chick flick for a 'macho man' like him, but she knew that he wanted to watch the movies and still have his pride and dignity.

Once the popcorn was popped and the ice cream carefully spooned into large, plastic bowls, Niall and Ellie went to the family room. Moving around slightly, a blanket covering the two, and a couple fluffy pillows helped the two get comfortable on the average-sized couch. Ellie reached over and pressed the 'play' button on the remote and not a word was spoken throughout the movie, only laughter and giggles filling the room. The movie helped Ellie forget about the incident from earlier and her confusion slowly erased from her mind as she got more enveloped in the comedy. Her encounter with Liam was just a memory temporarily forgotten.

Liam looked around the house the morning after his birthday. His head was throbbing, all he could smell was the toxic scent of alcohol, and a couple unfamiliar faces were sprawled out across the floor. 'Wow some party,' he thought, smirking to himself as he realized how great his party turned out to be.

He tried to recall the events from the previous night since he was so drunk, he forgot the major things. Groaning as he got up, he brushed off his jeans and mindlessly walked through the disastrous house and went to the kitchen. He grabbed two blue pills of advil and swallowed the medicine to help relieve his increasingly throbbing headache from the hangover.

Being an alpha had its perks; he could simply tell his maid to clean up the mess, so he didn't worry about the bottles and random house objects scattered along the floors of his house. Liam sat down, resting his head on his hand and tried to remember what happened. He had an odd feeling, like he did something wrong, but he just couldn't put his finger to it. After minutes of silent thinking, it clicked. Ellie. She was his mate, he remembered the dance, her scent, and most importantly: her scent. Her strong scent of vanilla, her plump pink lips, her lucious curves. There was no doubt in his mind that she was attractive, but he knew one thing for sure: he was definitely not ready to settle down, if anything she would be a good fuck and nothing else.

"Liam! Crazy party or what?" A rather loud voice spoke from across the room, the footsteps of the person becoming heavier as he neared Liam. He looked up and saw Louis who had his eyebrows raised and an amused smirk tugging on his lips.

"Oi, quiet down will you?" Liam groaned, rubbing his temples in an attempt to help relieve the pain of his headache. "I'll never understand how you can drink so much and wake up all fine and happy," he grumbled, closing his eyes as he tried to get rid of any thoughts and images of Ellie. No one knew about her, and he intended to keep it that way.

"Sorry," Louis chuckled giddily, pleased that the party turned out to be such a success. "Have you seen Harry around?" He questioned, peering down at the random bodies passed out on the wooden floor.

"Nope," Liam replied simply, not wanting to talk. "I'm gonna shower, get everyone out of my house," he demanded strictly before sliding his chair and standing up, making his way up the stairs to his master bedroom.

Liam undressed fairly quickly and stepped into his large glass shower that had steam rising up from the hot water. He showered, trying to forget about the beautiful girl from last night, Ellie.
