It came upon her faster then she ever could have expected. But she was faster. Raising her hand, the brilliant piece of metal in her hands cleaved through the Grimm that was attacking her, splitting it into two before it disintegrated. Spinning in a circle, she caught the two others that had found her, leaving them to meet the same fate as the one before.
"Ah, just as clean as usual... I don't think I've ever seen one touch you." The woman speaking was Cinder, Ruby's partner and... Crush, she was embarrassed to say. But dust, Cinder was beautiful, confident, and deadly. Everything someone like her could want in a woman.
"Whaaaaat? No, I'm uh, sure you've seen one hit me before... Hehe..." Ruby couldn't hide her blush and looked down, focusing on something other than cinder.
"Well, it's about time we head out, Rose... That giant nevermore nest won't take care of itself."
