If I never have you, then I could never lose you...

"Okay put these on Drew then once Tyler has his on you guys can go play." I spoke giving Drew some orange socks that Skyzone provided each one of their customers with.
"Be careful you guys." Tia smiled before we both found a table with a perfect view of the boys we sat down and started to make small talk.
"So Tia, if you don't mind me asking, what brings you back to Chicago?" I asked wondering why she left the beautiful state of Florida to come back to the number one place of crime. She sighed as she eyed the boys for abit and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Well, I just wanted to get always and breathe for awhile, if that makes any sense. Like I felt I had so much going on here that wasn't good for me or Tyler so I packed up and left." She shrugged avoiding giving me a direct answer, which I was totally fine with. I wasn't going to pressure her either, because it was her business amd we just met. Even though I was curious, who was I to barge into her life and demand for all of her secrets.
"I understand, we all at some point need those times to clear our heads." I leaned over and rubbed her shoulder giving her a reassuring smile as she nodded.
"You up for motherly time tonight at my house?" I asked knowing she needed it.
"Oh definitely." she laughed as we focused our attention back on the boys.
I could tell me and Tia would become really good friends

"Fuck you do that shit for Sid?" I ran my hand down my face in frustration bouncing my leg up and down in an attempt to calm my nerves.
"Cause, she had the right to know that you were messing around with me while feeding her a bunch of sweet nothings." She shrugged with one arm propped up on the back of the couch and her head rested in her hand sitting with her left leg folded under her right one.
"FOR WHAT? WHAT WE GOT GOING ON AINT HAVE SHIT TO DO WITH HER!" I barked motioning between me and her as she jumped back in shock. She was silent before turning her whole body in my direction.
"You remember the other day, when we left the my job after I got off?" She questioned lowly fiddling with her freshly manicured nails.
"Fuck that got to do with this conversation Sid?" I sighed sitting back getting irritated.
"Answer me." I sucked my teeth
"Yeah what about it."
"You remember you were drunk and high, right?" She continued going nowhere with the conversation.
"Yep."
"Do you remember what you told me before you left from here?" she looked up at me with pleading eyes. I couldn't tell what the expression was that was plastered on her face. I thought for a second and came up with nothing I was way out of it that night. I shook my head 'no'. Then she went back to fiddling with her fingers now with her legs criss crossed on the couch. She finally looked back at me with watery eyes and sighed.
