Isobel
I woke up in a hospital bed. "The fuck?" I said loudly. "Always cussing." Rocco laughed. I tried to sit up but I failed. "What happened?" I asked. "You got shot in the stomach because Ray scared Tasha." Rocco told me and I frowned. "Where is he?" I asked. "I ain't want him anywhere around you since he caused you getting shot. I shot Jimmy when y'all shot." Rocco said. "I knew I heard a extra gunshot." I smiled weakly. "He's in the waiting room?" I asked. "Yeah." Rocco said. "Bring him in." I said and Rocco shook his head. "I gotta tell him something Rocco." I said and Rocco shook his head again. "I will get out this damn bed and get him myself." I said. I struggled to sit up. "Slow down killer." Rocco said, getting up. "I gotchu." Rocco said and left out the room. I turned the TV on. "Isobel..?" Ray said quietly. "Hm." I muttered. "I'm sorry." Ray said. "I'm sorry too." I said. "For what?" Ray asked. "For almost cheating on you." I said plainly. He was quiet before he said, "No.." I nodded my head. "Who was it Isobel?" He asked. "Immanuel," I said and Ray clenched his fists. "I guess its my fault, for running you away into his arms huh?" Ray said and I bit my lip. "Where's my phone?" I asked. "Here babe," Ray passed me my phone. "We need to forgive each other, and move on for our kids. For us." Ray said, grabbing my hand. "I agree." I smiled. "That's my girl," Ray grinned and I grabbed his shirt. I pulled him closer to me. "Ooo girl yo breath stink." Ray teased and I laughed before wincing. I kissed him and he kissed me back. My phone started ringing. "Hold on." I said to him. "What ya need?" I asked, answering the phone. "Isobel it's Jacob. Can you come over to my place soon?" He asked. "When I get out the hospital yeah." I said. "I'm on my way." Jacob hung up. I haven't talked to Jacob in years. I heard he was a successful doctor now. It had Violet raising her eyebrow though, so I'm not putting anything past his work. "Who was that?" Ray asked. "Jacob." I said. "Why he calling you?" Ray asked. "Why are you so concerned?" I asked. "Because your my wife Isobel! I have to be concerned!" He exclaimed. "Who the fuck are you talking to like that Ray?" I asked calmly. "Don't you dare get me started Isobel." Ray warned. "No Ray. Don't get ME started." I said coldly, and he flinched. "Now you're going to sit down, and stop talking to me like that." I said and he sat in the chair by the bed quietly. "Good boy." I smiled. "I'm not your dog.." Ray murmured. "Actually you're my husband. You love it when I tell you what to do, don't you?" I said. "You do! That's why you always make me tell you what to do when something happens, isn't it? You love it when I command you what to do, tell you what we need in the house, and tell you how to handle everything when I'm gone. Its a look in your eyes you get when I tell you what to do. You're grateful for me, Rayon. Thankful, even." I said. "Isobel you're scaring me." Ray said. "You get scared when I tell you exactly how it is Rayon. You've always been scared of the truth when I tell you what you need to hear." I said. "Yes Isobel! I'm grateful that you're here! I'm scared that you'll tell me that you want to leave me for another man! That's what keeps me up at night Isobel! Every nightmare I have? Its you telling me that you're leaving me because of another man! That's my biggest fear! You leaving me for someone else and you take the kids with you!" Rayon exclaimed. "You and the kids are my LIFE Isobel. You just don't know how much I love you guys. I'll die if you left me. Craig told me that you'll find a man better than me when the kids were older and I've been scared that he was right after all of these years. Thats the big secret!" Rayon exclaimed, and he breathed heavily. "The thought of you with somebody else makes me mad Isobel. If you leave me, I'll go crazy. Life without you and the kids will have no meaning to me." Ray said and I was quiet. "For once, Isobella Wilson-Smith doesn't have anything to say. Whoa." Ray said, laughing to himself. "Actually I was going to say that you didn't have to worry that I was going to leave you Ray.." I said. "I think I should go check on the girls." Ray said quickly, walking out the room. "Whatever.." I said.
Rayon
I bumped into Jacob in the hallway. "Long time no see, huh?" I said. "Yeah. I was just talking to Isobel." Jacob smirked. He had on a doctor's jacket with a name tag that said DR. PEREZ. He had a lollipop in his mouth, and he took it out his mouth to talk. "She's a wild one, isn't she?" Jacob asked, putting his lollipop back in his mouth. "Yep." I said.
