Stepping into sacred lands.
The women stood there with a man begging for his life at her feet,
“I'm sorry! Please I have a family to look after...”
He sniffled miserably, this women was not kind to those who wondered into her forest with intentions to harm it, she showed no mercy to no one.
“You humans. You're all the same. I sense the harm you wish to inflict this sacred place. But I will never allow that. Do not fear, death is awaiting you and your body shall be returned to where it made birth.”
With slow movements the man screamed for the women to stop, but nothing would make her mind suave when you're her victim, finally the screams died down and she stepped away admiring what she had down to this man. Holding her hand out in front of her she looked to the man's face, ease creeping over her mind,
“The spirits shall take you to better place. Where you learn, not all is your way.”
Slowly the body of the once living man started to glow and disappear, the spirits of the forest were devouring his body. After the body fully disappeared the women knew that all was in order yet again in her forest, she turned and walked away towards the centre of her forest where her home was located.A man ran into the office belonging to the newly announced Hokage, Hashirama Senju.
“Another dead body was found outside the village, he is another victim as it looks, Hokage-sama.”
Hashirama furrowed his eyebrows, this had been yet another unexplained death.
“Send my condolences to their family.”
With a nod the man left leaving Hashirama to his thoughts, none of the deaths made any sense, all were murdered in the same forest in the same way and left outside the village walls. The only logical explanation for these brutal deaths was the myth of the Forest Guardian, Hashirama knew the story from young; always thought it was a lie to keep children running into unknown parts of the forest. But as people went into that certain part of the forest which was mentioned in the story, only deaths occurred. It puzzled Hashirama as he refused to believe that such a creature known as 'The Forest Guardian' would kill so many people just for entering the forest, it wasn't human.
“Hashirama...What's going on? I keep hearing about mysterious deaths...”
His brother, Tobirama, asked while walking into the office, Hashirama closed his eyes in frustration, all he needed was the village gossiping about it, then soon a riot would form in his own village that they just established.
“Tell me, Tobirama...do you believe in myths? Or to be specific, The Forest Guardian.”Tobirama stood there before his brother with a questioning look, it seemed as if he was avoiding the question he previously asked him. With a sigh he shook his head, why would he believe such tales? They were only children stories,
“Hmm...These deaths. They all seem to link to the Forest Guardian.”
Tobirama was dumbfounded, how could his own brother believe it?
“But why would you assume that? They could be anything in the forest doing this...like enemy ninja's...It can't be some silly myths.”
Hashirama nodded with agreement,
“I've considered that, but no ninja would stay there for years on end killing our comrades.”
Tobirama's thought process halted. His brother was ultimately right, no one would do that.
“So what are we going to do about this? You have no evidence I presume?”
Only a nod was needed to answer the younger brother's question, they both fell silent only their breathing was heard as they both thought what could possibly be going on.“So another ninja has fallen prey to that forest?”
The younger Uchiha asked, with a nod the Uchiha clan leader sighed with annoyance, it even confused him as to what was doing this.
“I think it's the Forest Guardian warning us to stay out of that forest.”
The Uchiha clan leader twitched with irritation, his brother was possibly the only grown man to still believe in myths,
“You may not think it, Madara. But it's the only logical reason! Think about that story of the Forest Guardian, 'they send the body back to where it makes birth'.”
The younger brother known as Izuna quoted the story, in the clan leader's head it all processed the story and made links to it with the deaths that occurred.
“It doesn't explain why such a thing even exists...”
Izuna looked to his hands, Madara had been right, nothing proves that it exists. Slowly a mischievous smile appeared across Izuna's lips,
“Then I'll prove it! I'll go into that part of the forest and meet the Forest Guardian.”
Madara looked to his brother in astonishment, was he really that stupid?
“Izuna, you'll be signing your own death certificate if you were even thinking about stepping into that part of the forest.”
Izuna only crossed his arms in an arrogant way.
“So? I want to know what's in that forest and if I die finding out, then so be it. And don't try and persuade me otherwise!”
With that Izuna left the room without another word, Madara wanted to stop him but knew his mind was set, he didn't want to lose another brother to death.
“Izuna. I'll go with you.”
Madara called after him knowing Izuna wasn't far away so he wasn't able to hear him yet, as Izuna heard those words from his older brother; a slow smile crept onto his face as he went to his room to sleep for the night.
