Without You (Zanron)

Chapter Five - Not Today

"Do you like Aphmau?" Aaron asked hoping the answer was no.

"Um yeah... as a friend." Zane responded while wondering why Aaron would ask something like that.

"Not like, romantically?" Aaron asked.

"No, why?" Zane asked confused.

"Just wondering." Aaron said and smiled.

"Do you?" Zane asked Aaron.

"No. I like somebody else." Aaron responded, still smiling.

Zane looked at Aaron confused, he always thought that Aaron had feeling for Aphmau, but he was proven wrong.

"Who?" Zane asked in confusion.

"Somebody." Is all that Aaron said, not wanting Zane to find out about who he liked. Aaron liked Zane, of course, and didn't think Zane liked him back. Zane didn't even want to accept that he liked Aaron.

"Okay if you don't want to tell me then whatever, I don't care." Zane responded annoyed.

"Zane, seriously?" Aaron asked disappointingly.

"What?" Zane responded.

"Never mind," Aaron said, shaking his head.

"You're so confusing." Zane mumbled.

"What?" Aaron asked, not hearing what Zane had said.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." Zane explained and smiled under his mask.

"If you say so." Aaron responded and laughed, admiring Zanes cuteness.

"I do say so." Zane responded nicely.

"I'd do anything you told me too." Aaron purred, attempting to flirt with the emo.

"Then can you go die?" Zane asked rudely.

Aaron rolled his eyes at Zanes hostility, knowing his attempt failed. "That's not what I meant." He said and looked over at Zane.

"Then what did you mean?" Zane asked, clearly not realizing Aaron poor attempt at flirting.

"Nothing." Aaron replied.

"Alright." Zane said and shrugged his shoulders in confusion.

"Wanna play 20 questions?" Aaron asked, trying to make it less awkward.

"Okay." Zane said and got up from the couch to sit on the ground, deciding it would be more comfortable.

Aaron also stands up and sits across from Zane, admiring his features. "You start." He says.

"Okay ummm... what's your favourite colour?" Zane asked and shrugged, not knowing any good questions.

"That is such a generic question Zane." Aaron replied and laughed. "But it's red. Okay, what's your favorite food?" He continued.

"I don't know." Zane shrugged. "Potatoes I guess."

"Cool." Aaron said.

"Okay um... what is your biggest fear?" Zane asked.

"Losing the people I love." Aaron stated and looked at Zane. "What's yours?"

"Nothing." Zane said and looked back at Aaron.

"You can't be afraid of nothing." Aaron said and glared over at Zane.

"Well I'm not afraid of anything so deal with it." Zane said. "Who do you like?" Zane asked, trying to get Zane to answer him again.

"Seriously?" Aaron asked and sighed. "It's just a person."

"Yeah but I'm curious." Zane said shrugging.

"I thought you didn't care." Aaron said accusingly.

"I don't... it was just the only q-question I could think of." Zane responded and mentally scolded himself for stuttering.

"Okay next question." Aaron said. "Have you had your first kiss?"

"Um... y-yeah totally." Zane responded and chuckled nervously at the lie.

"And that's a lie." Aaron said and giggled. "That's cute." Aaron sai, causing Zane to blush.

Zane tries his best to cover his face with his mask, hiding the blush that Aaron caused. "It's not cute." He growled.

"Like I said, if you say so." Aaron said and winked, causing Zane to blush even harder.

"Stop." Zane said annoyed.

"Why should I?" Aaron responded and scooted closer to Zane.

"What are you doing?" Asked Zane curiously, his heart beating fast. He looked at Aaron and realized, Aaron was going to kiss him. Zane's first thought was to run away, but he wasn't going to do that this time. Zane closed the gap between them and felt fireworks go off, cheesy, I know, and Aaron felt them too.

They kissed for a few seconds until Zane pulled away and looked down, still blushing. "Wow." He mumbled, not wanting to look up at Aaron.

"Yeah, wow." Aaron responded and looked around the room. "Well I guess I should answer your question now. The person I like is you, Zane." He said and looked at Zane, looking for a reaction.

"Oh." Zane responded, his heart fluttering. "I like you too."
