You groan as you wake up to see that your gonna be late to school. You jerk out of your bed.

Today was your first day at a NEW school. You dreaded it. Your parents had to move because of your dad getting a new job in Chino, CA. At least you got a much bigger house.

You quickly got into the shower then changed your clothes (inserted picture). You looked in the mirror and felt satisfied. You gave a good brush to your hair and grabbed your black backpack and dragged it down the stairs.

"I don't want that attitude for the first day, honey," your dad said.

"Your father is right. Alex, we want you to feel comfortable, and make some friends!" your mom said in a happy tone. You groaned and ate some cereal since you were not that hungry,

"Bye Alex!" you parents kissed you on the cheek and waved. You smiled and closed the door behind you. You pulled out your phone and earbuds and shuffled your playlist. "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez was playing. You hummed to the music and walked to the bus stop.

You waited for a few minutes and saw the school bus pull up. The doors open and you stepped inside.

"Hello, darling, are you new to Stoneridge High?" the bus driver asked. You nodded.

"Well, welcome to the school, I'll be your bus driver for the rest of the school year, I'm Laura, and you are?" she asked.

"I'm Alex, it's nice to meet you," you shook her hand. 

"Well, I'll be looking forward to seeing you everyday then!" she smiled. You smiled back and walked through the seats. Everyone gave you dirty looks, but you just smiled. You took a seat next to a pretty girl.

"Hi," you smiled.

"Hi! I overheard that this is your first year here?" she asked. You nodded.

"Well, I'm Gabi, what's your name?" she asked.

"I'm Alex," you said. She smiled.

"I'm totally here to help you if you need anything, I know everything about this school, including the drama." you really liked this girl and knew that you would be really good friends. She told you about all of the drama and about the girls in the school.

You pulled out your schedule and showed her.

"We have almost every class together!" she squealed. You giggled. You could see a boy turn around to you and Gabi and his friend nudged him and smiled.

"Who are they?" you asked.

"That's Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier, the hottest boys in school in my opinion!" she blushed.

"You can say that again," you said. 

"Cameron and Nash are fine!" you thought.

"I have a huge crush on Nash, hopefully they're in some of our classes," she said. Once the bus driver pulled up to the school, everyone ran out. You and Gabi stayed in the back to avoid getting pushed.

"Bye, Laura!" you waved.

"Bye, honey!" she smiled. You stepped down the bus and took a good look at the large school. Gabi took your hand and walked with you.

"Hey!" someone shouted. You turned around and Gabi did the same.

"You new here?" it was Cameron and Nash.

"Yeah," you replied. 

"I'm Cameron and that's Nash, maybe we can hangout at lunch or something?" he asked. You felt butterflies in your stomach. You looked at Gabi and saw that she felt left out.

"Hey, Gabi? Maybe you want to join?" Nash asked. She smiled and nodded. They left and Gabi jumped up and down. You smiled, feeling a little bit excited for this school year.
