When I was 11, I asked my father what it felt liked to love. He told me that love feels like the exhiliration of jumping off a cliff into deep water. At first, you're afraid something might go wrong, you go through all of the possibilites of pain. But, when you turn around, there is always someone to tell you that everythings going to be alright. They tell you that nothing could go wrong, and you believe them. So, on the count of three, you jump. You squeeze your eyes shut, and feel everything move so fast around you. Your skin feels the prickles of the wind. And that moment when you finally hit the water, you feel a slight sting, and plunge further. You hold your breath until you finally reach the surface of the water, pushing yourself up. You burst out and gasp for that air, and finally open your eyes. You see the sun and look up. That person that believed in you may be still up there, on the cliff, or they could've left. And if they're not, thats what heartbreak feels like. Besides my father, I havent felt that kind of love before, but I think I am starting to.
