Just The Start

Once upon a time, a little girl was upset, so she ran into her backyard that led into the forest. Ignoring her brothers pleads to get back inside the house, she ran into the forest.

"Emily Anne Carter, get your butt inside the house this instant!" she heard her mother yell. She ignored her mom and kept running.

She stopped running when she was in the heart of the forest. Her mother had brought her here many times before. She looked around for a while before walking and sitting next to the pond that lied in the middle of the paradise.

"Why is a pretty little girl in the forest?" A soft but rough voice asked. The little girl turned around shocked. She looked up to see a shirtless man, with the most prettiest silver eyes.

"I-I was mad at my m-mommy." She shuddered, looking at the big man.

"Why were you mad at your mommy, little one?" He asked softly, kneeling down to the little girls level.

"I didn't get what i wanted.." She whispered, while sniffling. She wiped away the tears that had started to fall and looked at her feet.

"What was it that you wanted?" He asked, lifting up her chin and smiling softly at her.

"A cookie.." She sniffled, she looked up at the mysterious man and said, "It was really selfish of me to run, wasn't it..?"

He chuckled and nodded, "Yes it was, little one, now lets go take you home." He said, as he picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Do you think Mommy will be mad at me?" She whispered sadly. She had not wanted to get mommy mad at her.

"I don't think your mommy will be mad." He said, rubbing her back trying to soothe her. She nodded in his chest and consumed his warmth.

He took a few steps and stopped, she turned around and saw her family a few steps from him. He put her down and she ran to her Mommy.

"Mommy! Im so sorry! I wont ever do it again! I promise!" She said sniffling, as her mother picked her up and cradled her into her chest.

"Its okay, baby, Its okay." She replied rubbing her back.

Her Dad and Mom looked up and looked shocked.

"T-thank you, Alpha Mason." Her Dad said, looking relieved that they found their child.

He nodded swiftly before turning around and walking into no mans land.

"Wait!" The little girl said. He turned around and raised an eyebrow at her. She got out of her mothers arms and ran to the man.

He kneeled down and said,"Yes, little one?" She smiled and hugged him. He was taken aback, but hugged her.

"Thank you, for bringing me home." She whispered softly, "I will always remember you."

He let go of the little girl and smiled.

"I got to go, but i promise you, i will see you soon." He said mysteriously, and walked away.

She turned towards her family and smiled softly, but they didn't smile back, they were too infatuated with what was behind her. She turned around to see a wolf come from the opposite way the man did.

"Grab your sister and run. Run far and don't look back." my dad said to my 10 year old brother. He nodded swiftly, before running to me. He picked me up and ran as fast as he could far away from our home.

"MOMMY!! DADDY!!" I screamed in terror, as fresh tears fell down my rosy cheeks.

"Shhh, it will be ok." He said softly, before running to the neighboring town.

And thats how my life began. The only one to take care of me is my brother. Im 17 now, and i never could have expected what was going to happen to me now.
