I thought I was normal

It was a normal Saturday morning. I wake up start binge watching episodes on Netflix, update Wattpad and text like any normal teenager. Soon I would eat and our parents would some errands.

"YO! sis breakfast," Jeremiah said bursting into my room.

"Ok I'll change later," I said following him down the stairs. when I got downstairs I saw Augustine and Camilla eating.

"Mornin' fam," I said cheerfully sitting between Jeremiah and Camilla. " Yay pancakes," I said as a plate of pancakes gets set in front of me.

"Thanks, mom looks delish," I said starting to eat. "What should we do today."

"Let's explore the woods," Jeremiah suggested.

"Yeah sounds fun everyone needs backpack bring food water and anything else you find necessary," I said finishing my pancakes and running upstairs to my room. I grabbed my light blue backpack and started packing. I packed four water bottles, chips, a sandwich, a map, a compass, a notebook, a sketchbook,  camera, pencils, and colored pencils. Next was to change I put on black shorts a white tank and a red plaid flannel. I put on my favorite pair of boots on and ran downstairs.

"Let's go," I said waiting for everyone to come downstairs. Soon everyone was here.

"Mom Dad we're leaving," I said.

"Ok no later than 3:00," I heard mom say. We started walking towards the woods.

Soon we were at the edge of the woods.

"I've never been here I'm excited, let's go," I said walking in. We started walking through the forest.

"Let's go up that hill," I said as I took a picture of a deer.

We crossed over towards the hill. We walked by the waterfall.

"This is a beautiful waterfall," Jeremiah said. "Hey  let's take a selfie."

"Ok," I said as I grabbed my phone. "Say waterfall."

"Waterfall," everyone said smiling. I snapped the photo and sent it to everyone. We continued up the hill. Soon we got to the top.

"Wow," I said in awe looking at the view.

"You said it, sis," Camilla said. I sat down and opened my backpack and took my sketchbook and pencils out. Everyone sat down and took out sandwiches, chips, and water and started eating. We started to eat and I started to sketch.  Soon my sketch was finished. I finished eating and took a sip of water. I looked at my phone.

"Shoot guys it's 2:50 we have to go," I said.

"Mom's gonna be so pissed if we're late," Camilla said as we all ran down the hill. We continued running until we got home. We walked through the door out of breath.

"Mom we're so sorry we're late," said Augustine. No answer.

"Mom is always home before three," Camilla said. Soon we heard three gunshots.

"Everyone to the basement,"  Jeremiah directed. When we got to the basement we sat under the stairs.

"There is something here," Jeremiah whispered. "There is a trap door here," he said pulling the door open.

"Let's go down there," Augustine said. Starting to climb down the ladder.

"O-OK," I said climbing after Camilla.

"It's so dark is there a light switch," Jeremiah asked.

"Yeah," Camilla said feeling against the wall. She flipped a light switch and the lights came on.

"Look a letter," I said picking up a piece of paper.

  Camilla, Zoey, Augustine and Jeremiah if you are reading this you heard gunshots and your father and I are deceased. There is one thing we never told you, you have powers. But right now you are under attack by people who want to take you for your powers. You need to protect yourselves. Surround the house at all for corners and you should see a faint blue shield around the house. Zoey you have the power of earth, Jeremiah fire, Camilla water and Augustine air, Augustine you also have some psychic powers, but you all can fly turn invisible and freeze things. And since Zoey and Jeremiah are twins they can communicate telepathically and share some powers.

"M-Mom and D-Dad a-are Dead," Jeremiah said starting to tear up.

"Guys we'll figure this out later we have to protect the house," said Augustine starting to climb the ladder. Soon we were upstairs. We heard faint voices probably coming from the woods.
"It's now or never to protect the house," I whispered as we walked outside. We stood at the four corners of the house and slowly a faint blue shield surrounded the house. We quietly went inside.
"We did it we made a shield," I said hugging everyone.
Soon there was a knock on the door. We cracked the door slightly open. There was a boy standing there. He had camo pants a white tank and ruffled hair any girl would want to tangle her fingers in and covered in dirt. He had dreamy eyes and a kind smile. He looked about my age.
"Hi I was sent by your parents to protect you," he said.
"Who are you?" Jeremiah asked.
"Oh I'm Zach," he said.
