Journee (JOUR-nee) Aaliyah Richards. Kamron and Ley's daughter.
It's been a year since the rape. It's been a year since Jasmine's death. It's been a year since I've seen Kamron since his court date.
A lot has happened in a year,but a blessing came from the rough year I've experience.
My daughter Journee is the BEST thing that ever happened to me. She's so smart,beautiful,funny,and everything else. I'm so blessed to have her in my life.
Although,it was hard raising Journee without a father in her life,her Godfather Terrance was there every step of the way. I wished we were together in a relationship,but I guess we better off as friends. It'll be weird for Journee to be his stepdaughter when she's actually his cousin. 😆 Terrance made an awesome Godfather though,and his girlfriend loved Journee.
My life was together. I didn't attend Clark Atlanta anymore,but I moved back to Decatur and got my own apartment and I attended a community college closed to home. I missed CAU,and my girls. They visited often though,and Terrance also. I also visited Jasmine often too,she'll forever be my girl.
As for Kamron,his mother got in touch with me often,because she wanted to spend a lot of time with Journee. I was hesitant at first,but she was her first grandchild. I only had supervised visits at my house though,I was so overprotective over Journee. I couldn't let anyone take adavange of her or treat her wrong in anyway.
His mother would bring how he wanted to see Journee,and let her visit him but I refused. I couldn't let her see him in jail,I wasn't being mean.. I was just being a MOTHER.
I thank Kamron for giving me something so beautiful..
