V. THE INVASION

The intruders came without warning.

The peaceful little world of the Others was shaken when the Originals barged in with metal pipes that they took from the storage. Thirteen strong, the invaders waved their crude weapons at the ten frightened natives of The Extension, yelling war cries as they establish their dominance as a kind. They then barked orders, telling the Others to leave at once to avoid getting hurt – without realizing that their language was different from that of the Others. Thrown into an unforeseen bedlam, the Others reacted aggressively against the invaders to defend the turf that they knew was theirs. As three of the Others ganged up on the invading Originals' leader, the others retaliated.

One of the mannequins fell on the floor with a broken head.

Another lost an arm.

The other side of the building – knowing that they were safe - simply watched as The Extension made room for more victims.

Overpowered, the Others lost against the Originals. Those who managed to survive were the females who refused to fight; having no choice, they surrendered themselves to the Invaders who immediately claimed ownership of The Extension.

Some of the Originals joined the Invaders to celebrate the expansion of their land.

Some of them took the broken bodies and stuffed them in the obscure parts of the storage.

It was a very dark night for the Homo Natura.

The staff never found out about the invasion. The stockmen thought the merchandisers rearranged the rooms, while the salespersons thought the stockmen did it. Keeping no inventory on the mannequins, nobody learned that six of them were missing and that those six were in pieces and were hidden in the recesses of the storage room. Nobody even noticed that some of the mannequins from the main area were posing inside The Extension.

It was as if the invasion never happened.
