A/N: This is MY story of Pretty Little Liars! I hope you like it! P.S. I am currently writing this on my phone so there may be multiple grammar mistakes! Sorry in advance!

Aria Montgomery stepped out of her parent's minivan and stared at her old Victorian style home. It looked so foreign to her.

"We're home!" Her father, Byron Montgomery called out as he grabbed a couple of suitcases from the trunk.

Home? Aria thought. Home is where her heart is, and it definitely wasn't in Rosewood. Her heart was still in Iceland where her boyfriend was. Well, ex-boyfriend. They both agreed the long distance thing wouldn't work. She met him the second week her family moved there. He had these gorgeous blue eyes and blonde hair and his smile looked as if he won the lottery. She was trying to pronounce an Icelandic city she wanted to explore that was nearby and he overheard her and corrected her pronunciation of the city. He then offered to show her the city and her parents agreed.

"What's your name?" He asked her as they walked down the street of the city.

"Aria." She responded. "And what's yours? "

"I don't want to tell you." he responded.

"What?" Aria scoffed. "No! You have to tell me your name! I told you mine!"

"If I tell you my name, you're going to laugh! "

"Awwwwww! It couldn't be that bad! Is it some awful Icelandic name that I can't pronounce?" Aria jokingly said as she slowed down to see the sights of the city.

"Actually, I'm not from here. So, no, I don't have an Icelandic name. Well, it depends on how you see it."

"Really? Where are you from?" Aria inquired.

"Minnesota. My parents were just obsessed with Iceland all of their lives. We moved here when I was 8. I don't know, it was really weird. And so they named me Iceland."

Aria couldn't help herself. She burst into giggles and bent over in laughter.  Her stomach convulsed in delightful pain. Iceland looked down at her and looked around.

"Yeah, laugh it up." Iceland said.

"Wait!" Aria said in between giggles."They named you Iceland because they love this place so much?"

"Hey! It's not the first time people named their child after countries! There are people named America, China, Egypt....." Iceland reasoned.

"Well this is the first time I've heard of anyone named Iceland." Aria said after finally gaining her composure.

"Well, what about Aria? That's an interesting name." Iceland said as they continued walking.

"Yeah, I like it! It's creative and independent. Fits me perfectly. It's like my parents knew the type of person I was going to be before I came out of the womb."

"Well, that's an interesting thought." Iceland said as he stopped right in front of her. He stared at her lips.

"Uhhhhh wh-wh-wh-why'd you st-st-stop?" Aria stuttered. It always comes on when she gets nervous. Great. Now Iceland is going to think she's a total loser. She bit her lip.

"I really want to kiss you right now but we just met. And I don't kiss on the first date." Iceland said as he leaned into her.

"Well, I wouldn't really call this a date so maybe we can make an exception." Aria said breathlessly.

And then they kissed. It was so magical. This was Aria's very first kiss. Well, her first real kiss that lasted longer than three seconds. And, there was tongue involved. When they finally stopped kissing, they stared into each other's eyes.

"I should get back to my parents. They're probably worrying about me now."

"I'll show you the way back." Iceland responded.

Aria surprised herself. She never made out with anyone before and she never thought she'd do it when she just met him. But something about him was really special. He made her heart flutter like a butterfly. Maybe Iceland would be good for her. Maybe she'll finally open up.

"Hellooooooooo?!?!? Earth to Aria?" Aria's 14 year old sister Mikayla was right in her face. "Everyone's already in the house starting to unpack! You've been sitting here, staring into space for about 10 minutes!"

"Oh, I guess I did space out. It just feels really weird to be back." Aria replied.

"I know what you mean. But we have to move on from what happened. Mom made a mistake. " Mikayla sighed.

"Yeah, with one of her students!" Aria retorted.

"Look, holding a grudge isn't going to do any good." Mikayla said as she gently held Aria's hand.

"I know! I just can't believe she was having a thing with one of her students and made us keep it from Dad!" Aria said ripping her hand away from Mikayla.

"I also know why you're so on edge. You left your first love in Iceland." Mikayla said mockingly. She remembered very clearly how every night Aria would gush about Iceland. It was her first real boyfriend and Mikayla was always being filled in on how amazing he was.

"I'm really going to miss him, Mickey."

"I know. And I don't know if you forgot but......." Mikayla started.

"How could I forget?" Aria interrupted. She looked into the sky.

"I can't believe it's been an entire year." Mikayla mumbled to the ground.

"At one time I thought she was just going to show up. That she was just going to appear on our plane to Iceland, or in our house there or in one of the restaurants........ I don't know." Aria sighed.

"I miss her too. Her laugh. Her bouncy blonde hair....... She thought I was cool. I was like the sixth member of your crew. "

"Yeah, she tolerated you." Aria teased.

"There were so many flyers when we drove through the center of town. Did you see them?" Mikayla asked.

"Of course I did. I saw the paper too. 'Alison Dilaurentis: A Mystery Unsolved. One Year Anniversary of Her Disappearance.'" Aria said like the newspaper was right in front of her.

"Yeah. They say anniversary like it's some kind of a celebration." Mikayla muttered.

"I just think people here in Rosewood are still intrigued by what happened. This is a small town after all." Aria said.

"Girls!!! You still need to unpack!" Their mother, Ella Montgomery, yelled outside the open front door with a small box in her hand. Aria rolled her eyes.

"We should go inside." Mikayla said gesturing towards the house.

"Yeah." Aria nodded.

They held each other's hands as they walked into the house. Aria glanced behind her and then focused on the house. Home is where the heart is. She thought. She went through all of the memories she and her other 3 friends had with Alison Dilaurentis in her head. Now, Alison disappeared exactly a year ago and who knows what happened to her old friends. Alison's disappearance ripped her heart out and it never really recovered, even when she was in Iceland for a year. Maybe her heart never truly left Rosewood.

A/N: Mikayla is not Mike lol. I just decided to make Aria have a sister instead of a brother. If this was a TV Show/movie, I would have Selena Gomez play her! I would have Austin Butler play Iceland.
