Sam's decision

(Tucker pov)

We continued to fly towards Fenton Works, I kept my left arm wrapped tight to Valerie's waist as I held a sleeping Dani in my right arm making sure she wouldn't fall. I still can't believe I almost lost my best friend today, and above all else this was the first time I've seen Sam cry which really surprised me since she's always so tough.

When we reached Fenton Works, we see Jazz through the window of the living room, when she saw us she rushed to the door and when she opened the door her eyes widened when she saw Danny.

"What happened?" She asks as she rushed towards us

"We'll explain everything later, just help us" Sam said while she was carefully getting off the board

Jazz carefully took Danny's right arm and wrapped it around her shoulders, while Sam still had Danny's left arm around her shoulders. They went inside and I stayed behind and I looked at Valerie who had sad look on her face, but I understood the reason since I'm sad too.

"Thanks for everything Val" I said kindly

"No problem, I'm going to take a look around town in case theres more ghost"

"Alright be careful out there"

"Will do, and let me know when he wakes up"

"You got it" I said and with that she left

I entered the house and the first thing I did was go to the couch and put Dani on it and put a pillow under her head. I quickly ran up the stairs and to Danny's room, and the first thing I see is my best friend being held up by Sam, while Jazz was wrapping bandages around his wound.

Both Sam and Jazz looked like they wanted to cry, but who could blame them if they did?

"Need some help?" I ask

"It's alright we got this" Jazz said and continued wrapping bandages on Danny

"Where's Dani?" Sam asks

"She's resting on the couch" I replied and walked towards the bed

"I can only imagine what mom and dad will say or do, when they see him" Jazz said as she finished wrapping the bandages on Danny

"I can think of one or two things, but the question is how are we going to tell them?" I ask with crossed arms

"How about this 'hi Mr. & Mrs.Fenton, both Danny and Dani got into a fight with a ghost named Skullker, who was known as ghost zones greates hunter, he ended up stabbing and shocking Danny with who knows how many volts of electricity, while Tucker and I couldn't do anything to help him and all because I left my damn Fenton thermos in my locker and then Dani ended up destroying Skullker with her ghostly wail' how's that for telling them?" She asks and she began to tear up

"Sam, this is not your fault"

"Tucker's right Sam, you shouldn't blame yourself for what happened today. Danny's alive and healing so that's all that matters" Jazz said and started walking out of the room

"Where are you going?" I ask

"I'm going to the pharmacy to buy more bandages, just in case we need more and Sam you should change shirts" Jazz said and left

I looked at Sam, and Jazz was right, she did need to change shirts, I could see very clearly the dark spots of blood on her purple t-shirt and also small spots of ectoplasm.

"This isn't going to kill me" she said bitterly

I could see the sadness in her eyes and I could tell that she's still blaming herself for what happened today, if I try to tell her that it isn't her fault, she'll just say that it was her fault, so I wont bother in telling her.

"Tucker?" she called me with a serious tone

"Yeah?" I responded

"Can you help with something down at the lab?" She ask

"Um sure"

We left Danny's room and quickly walked down to the living room, I saw Dani who was resting on her side. We walked down to the lab and Sam opened the door of the ghost portal.

"So what do you want me to do?"

"I want you to open the doors of the ghost portal and shut it down!" She instructed

I did what she instructed, but I kept trying to figure out what she was planing. I opened the doors and shut down the portal and that's when it hit me when I saw her run in the portal and hit the off button so I couldn't turn it completely on.

"Sam, please tell me your not thinking on getting ghost powers on purpose"

She didn't respond, she just ran to the storage cabinet and took out a hazmat suit similar to Danny's when he got ghost powers and quickly put it on.

"Sam please, what happened today wasn't your fault and I'm sure Danny would agree with me" I said and she quickly turned around and glared at me

"Look Tucker, Danny right now is in bed resting and all I did was watch while he, Dani and Valerie fought Skullker with all they had and you tried to access a fire wall so could shut him down while I did nothing, I just felt useless there because I forgot the Fenton thermos" She said and was beginning to tear up

"Sam I know that your hurting, but Danny right now is healing and you think that getting ghost powers is the answer for not being able to help him? And what will you do when he finds out?" I ask

"Then I'll just tell him" she replied before turning back to the ghost portal

She walked into the portal and gave me a look which meant she wanted me to turn it on. I hesitated a bit but I did it, the energy returned to the ghost portal and I looked at Sam and she was giving me a small smile. She pressed the on button and I quickly looked away.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH" She screamed in pain

(Dani pov)

"Huh?" I said as my eyes shot opened and quickly sat up from the scream

I looked around and I was home sitting on the couch, I don't know how I got here since all I remember was fighting Skullker, screaming, and destroying him for killing Danny.

I stood up from the couch and I suddenly felt dizzy, but I shook my head and started running down to the lab. When I got there I see Tucker with a worried look on his face and the ghost portal open.

"Tucker, what's going on?" I ask making him turn around by surprise

He didn't answer, he was just staring at me with a worried look almost as if he did something wrong. He looked back to the ghost portal and I noticed a hand coming out of it, so I changed to my ghost form and flew up in the air and got ready to shoot it with my ghost energy.

"Wait Dani don't shoot!" He said as he stood in front of the ghost portal

My eyes widened when I saw none other than Sam coming out of the portal. Her black hair now white and her eyes neon green just like mine. She dropped to her knees and started looking at her hands, hair and body.

"It worked. I-i'm a ghost" she said while trying to get up

"Tucker, what the hell is going on?" I ask as I went back down to the ground and changed back to human form

"It was my decision so I could help Danny" Sam answered

"What do you mean help Danny? He was killed by Skullker don't you remember?" I ask as I try to fight back my tears

"He's not dead!" Tucker said

"What?" I ask sounding in disbelief

"He's alive and resting in his bed" he said and I changed back to my ghost form and flew out of the lab leaving Sam and Tucker

I turned intangible and phased through the walls to Danny's room, and when I saw him wrapped in bandages and breathing, I couldn't help but fly towards him and cry out of happiness knowing that he's alive.
