Last year, you have been through a very traumatizing, near death event. Since then, you have been suffering from vivid, intense nightmares. You were scared to go go back to sleep, even during the day. No matter how much you resist, you give in and end up falling asleep. Every time you woke up from a nightmare, the back of your neck will feel hot. You would be sweating a bit. You can feel your heart pounding in your chest. And you would start crying. Your husband is a light sleeper and he will wake up as soon as he felt you jolt awake. He admittedly comforts you, telling you that everything is going to be okay and that he will protect you. He made a promise that he will always be there for you and help you get through it.

It was a nice day outside and you were laying under a tree in the shade. You looked up at the sky and watched the clouds go by. You have been by yourself for a few hours because your husband went shopping for food. Normally, he does the shopping. You tell him what he needs to get and give him a list. Simple. The both of you worked for Mann Co. Your husband is a Medic and you were a (Favorite Class). You quit a few months after you got married. But, Medic still works there and you were able to find another job yourself.

You close your eyes and take in fresh air. A few moments later, you felt someone gently press their lips on yours. They pull away and you open your eyes to see that it was your husband. You smile at him and sit up to face him. He pulls you close and you rested your head on his shoulder. "How are feeling today liebling?" "I've been okay." "Did you sleep?" "I tried. But I couldn't." Medic sighed in sympathy and picked you up.

It was starting to get late and he took you back to the house. The house is near the RED base. Now all of the mercs have houses near the base. They're crappy, but it's still a house. When the both of you get there, he puts you down. Medic goes to lay down on the couch and grabs a book. You can tell that he was exhausted. You follow him and cuddle up to him. You kiss him and lay your head down on his chest. Your eyelids were starting to get heavy. You were trying to fight it. If you gave in, you will end up falling asleep. "Don't fight it, you need to sleep." You finally gave in and fell asleep.

Your Point of View:
I was running as something was chasing me. My legs were bleeding and cold. I couldn't catch my breath. Eventually I got a dead end and heard something getting closer and closer to me. It was the thing that was chasing me. It wasn't human. It was about 10 feet tall. It had very long nails and fangs that had blood on them. It's face met with mine. Glowing, yellow eyes staring into mine. Its breath was warm and smelled like death. It was very thin, bones can be seen through it's milky, white skin. It's head was the shape of a deer. It's arms reached down to its ankles. For what seems like forever it slowly lifted it's arm then, like the speed of a Wendigo, grabbed me by the throat and lifted me off the ground. I started to struggle, but nothing was working. Then I was lifted up even more, then slammed to the ground. My head made contact with a rock. As my head split open, I was back at my house. I saw my husband was facing me with his hands on my shoulders.

Normal Point of View:
A few tears started rolling down your cheeks and he pulls you into a hug. "You're okay Liebling... It was just a dream... You're okay..." He started rubbing your back and just held you close. You started to calm down. You and Medic lay back down, with you still in his arms. "Do you want to talk about it?" You shake your head. "Are you sure? Talking about it helps." You shake your head again. "Can you stay awake with me?" "Of course." Medic put his arm under you and put his hand on your shoulder. His thumb was gently stroking your shoulder. You kiss his cheek and relaxed your head on his shoulder.
