Chapter Eight

"He's my what?" I ask confused making sure I heard it right "He's your father Katerina." Jane says " Okay I actually heard that right. So you my farther." "Yes." "How fun. Well nice meeting you I'm off to church." I said trying to sneak out the door. "Katerina the only place you're going is with them." Jane says sternly "I thought you were just joking about me leaving to go live with them." "No Katerina, we can't deal with you anymore you corse to much trouble." "What and you think sending me off to live with a bunch of fucking gangsters is going to help! You're fucking mad!" "Stop with all the swearing!" "You know what Jane fuck you! I have never done anything to hurt you and I have always help around here but if I go out at night and have a bit of fun you kick me out and make me go and live with some mother fucker who kills people for a living!" When I said that I could see the all of the Shelby boys fist clench and laugh. "What the fuck are you laughing about?" The youngest one asks me "It's just funny you know when I called Tommy a mother fucker you all clenched your fists." They all look at me like there going to jump me but Tommy just looks at me amused at how much control I already have over his family. One of they went to say something but Tommy puts his arm out making them stop. "Katerina I know it must not be the best thing getting told after 16 years of life that I'm your father and that you are now coming to live with me in Birmingham but that's what's happening." "Well Mr Shelby I would rather live on the streets than live with you and your family I have people that would look after me people who might not be blood but they are family. As I was about to walk away I turned around and said "Were you my mothers Wednesday or Saturday because I defiantly remember her fucking two different people called Thomas." After that I walk out of the orphanage and to the church with a great big smile on my face and my head held high.
