What is a blog? A website devoted to capturing every living moment of the life of a seemingly unimportant person ? An obsession with proving to the world that, "Yes, I matter, and strangers are benefitting from reading my written words that I have smashed together in a messy, but profound, poem." I'm sitting here writing this one handed, eating a burrito with the other hand, when I should be sleeping, or even preparing myself for tomorrow's school day, and I can't help but question why I'm typing this out. Nobody is going to read this. I'm not going to cure cancer or end world hunger by sitting like this typing about my average life. So why do I keep going? Do I subconsciously know that the tales of my pathetically boring life are somehow interesting to the population of hormone driven tweens on this website? That's right, I'm calling you out Wattpad. You and your smutty fanfiction have been ruining innocence since day one. Budding sexualities and confused minds with nowhere else to turn, stumbling across Mpreg and #OneShot. As a grown and mature 17 year old, I feel for those lost souls, trapped in the cycle of internet abuse and acne wash. It's a tough life for a middle schooler. But alas, we all had to experience it. I remember middle school days like a fresh branding. Wandering the halls in what I thought was the latest trend, 50 pounds over weight and a shrimp in a sea of tall classmates. New friends and new trails, tribulations, and disappointments. I look back on my middle school years wih sadness. It's fine though. Those struggles made me into the awkward yet sociable senior I am today. Here's to the kids who made it through Middle and High school with their mental stabilities intact. Here's to us.
I guess that concludes whatever you want to call this.
Is this a blog?
Keep it real my peeps.
