Everybody has heard about the devastating situation in Haiti. Millions have died or been seriously injured. Many are left homeless with no food or water. Haiti was already the absolute poorest country in the western hemi-sphere, even before the earthquake.
Contributive people are starting funds and food drives to try to help the Haitians. But I know that it is not just the food and water that they desperately need. They need to know that someone is there for them. That somebody, somewhere in the world, cares for them.
Acknowledges them.
Are concerned for them.
Relentless, hard-working people, like the Wattpad team, make that happen. It all starts when someone wants to give. To contribute. Others follow and give,too. One single person turns into one hundred people. One hundred people turns into one MILLION people and so on! That's how simple it is to make a difference.
The earthquake has its "ups," too. It has brought the world together. Hand in hand, we all work together and help Haiti stand once again. And that is what this whole essay has been about,
