Blade Box

Ch-0 Prologue

"I just need to get one more thing...", a boy said as he looked at a shopping list amongst a crowd of people on the busy streets of Tokyo. The sun was sharp as a blade and the weather lady had predicted another week of sunny days. The young boy sighed as he stood in line waiting for the signal to turn so he could walk away from the crowd and find a place to cool off. He looked at his phone, it was 12:23 am Sunday, he put his phone away as the signal had turned green to walk.

"I wish I was someplace cooler", the young boy said as he took a step but stopped as everything went black and the wind began to blow furiously. He braced himself and looked up at the sky, a giant maelstrom had formed and began to grow bigger.

"W-what is that?", the young boy said as he looked stunned in fear at what was unfolding when he looked around and everything was frozen still. The people, the traffic, the noise, it seemed even if gravity had stopped.

"W-what is going on here", he said in a panicked voice. The maelstrom had erupted lighting which caught his attention then something began shining from inside it's eye. The boy vied for a closer look when a purple chain had suddenly burst forth from the maelstrom and caught his hand, which followed suite with a number of chains ensnaring his arms, legs and his waist. The boy stunned at what had occurred tried to free himself but to no avail. The chains tightened and like gears moving in reverse began to move back towards the maelstrom.

"Someone, someone help!", the boy cried but the world he was in was frozen still. The chains now revved with speed and pulled him towards the maelstrom with tremendous speed. The boy yelled as he was drawn into the maelstrom's eye which began shining. As it pulled him in, it began collapsing on itself and disappeared with him. The world he was in began to turn as usual as if the maelstrom and the boy never existed.
