Harry and I froze in our position, not saying a word. Crawling back, I readjusted the drawstrings on my sweats while he was slipping his shirt back on, making me frown a little.

Great. Thanks, Mom for being such a cock-blocker. My cheeks were flushed a bright red when he looked back at me. He smirked and turned away towards the door but before he left he swiftly turned around and placed a lingering kiss on my forehead, which I wish I could've cherished longer.

He sighed, mumbling words that were too hushed for me to comprehend, and with that he left the room leaving me in my own heated thoughts and wishes. Seems he's always the one leaving me and not the other way around.

Brushing the strands of hair out of my face, I wearily got up and headed towards the bathroom feeling gross on my lower half. Turning the nozzle on, I stripped myself of my tank top, sweats, and slightly ruined panties and my deep red lacy bra.

Hopping underneath the perfectly heated water, I just stood there, probably for a good 15, 20 minutes before turning it off, the cold overbearing me, making my hair stand. Wrapping the fluffy towel around my body, I made my way into the closet, grabbing a white knitted sweater, a pair of black ripped shorts and a black bralette with black lace panties.

After I finally got dressed, I walked out of my room and headed back downstairs to see my Mom and Harry sitting on the couch talking, oddly enough, when they say me, she frantically stood up, her eyes red and puffy making my heart drop. After rushing to her side to pull her in my arms, tears began to stream onto my shoulders, Harry just looking on.

We both sat on the couch, my hand rubbing her back to calm her down a bit before she started to comprehend her words.

" You- your father got himself into...a shit ton of trouble and now he's in jail. On my way home from the job interviews, I was called to stop by, he's in a holding cell and when I talked to him, he well... wants me to bail him out-" I cut her off before she could continue.
" He doesn't deserve to, he's looking for an easy way out. That's why he called you. Please don't fall for it, Mom."
" He promised me he'd change for me...he seemed so sincere, like there was a glimpse of the old him." She spoke quietly, looking down at her hands tangled in one another.
" He's lying to you!" I blurted out, pure anger coursing through my voice. I couldn't take it anymore, he's manipulating her, so she'd come crawling back to him just like it always was before.

Jumping up from the couch, I glanced at Harry before releasing the fists I had at my sides.

" I'm gonna go take a drive, I'll be back soon." Him giving me a nod followed by a worried sigh. She looked up at me, her eyes still red, and her face pale as ever. I grabbed the keys off the end table, and opened the door, slamming it behind me.

My hands gripped the steering wheel tight, knuckles turning a white color as my forehead lightly leaned against them. Taking a deep breath before glancing up at the police station in front of me, supposedly where he was.

After a few minutes of reevaluating my plan, I slowly pulled myself out of the car before locking it and pushing my way through the doors to the front desk that sat in the middle with hallways on both sides along with a compact waiting area.

Making my way to the formalized officer, I told him my name, making him frown immediately, standing up before leading me down one hallway and down another. We came up to an array of cubbies with a two way glass along with a small microphone.

" Go ahead and sit, he'll be down in a few." He assured me with a subtle smile before walking away, leaving me slumped over the table.

Shuffling across the glass made me readjust my posture, bringing my hands up to rub my eyes before looking at the two policemen gripping my Dad at the arms, practically dragging him to sit down in the chair. The officers mouthed something to him before turning on the mic and walking around a corner.

His eyes were pulsing red, and the dark circles underneath showed he hadn't gotten much sleep since he's been here. I barely recognized him, hell even before. He used to have such a bright personality, took care of himself well, used to occasionally dress in suits, wear a genuine smile on his face and best of all, he cared greatly for his family, but now, he's the complete opposite.

He barely spoke before he cleared his voice, him now audible." Len.." He breathed out, more as a relief to see me.
" Dad...why, what did you do.." I said, not being able to look him in the eye. His eyes were filled to the brim with guilt, his hands were obviously clammy, shaking as well. Since he didn't say anything i continued on,
" you can't keep doing this, this time it just happened to get real bad. We have been there since day one, but we can't take it anymore, you take us for granted and I'm not putting us through that again."
" Lena, darling, you know i want to change, you know that. It's just..it-"

" It's what, Dad... she's back home crying her eyes out cause she wants to come back but she knows good and will that you're not the same man she married." I snapped, now realizing tears were streaming down my cheeks onto my fisted hands.
" Home?"
He questions, completely regarding what I said after that, his attention now resting on me, wide eyed, making my skin go cold.
