Lang's P.O.V
I arrived at the party, hoping to get home soon.
I talked with other, enjoyed the pretty Charlotte flirtings, and the booze that freely flowed.
That's when he noticed someone.
Someone who didn't seem to be enjoying the party like everyone else. I walked over. She seemed to be huddled against the arm wrest of the couch, her legs tucked into her chest with her arms wrapped around them. Her dark hair blocked her face, but I could she that her head was moving a bit. She was still awake and was keeping an eye on everyone.
I knew the person was a she. Her long hair and dark dress was a dead giveaway.
I sat down beside her and I saw her stiffen.
"You seem to be enjoying yourself." I said. She turned her head and threw the flash of light I saw that she had beautiful emerald green eyes, but it had a hazel brown ring around the pupils.
She looked away.
"I'm not a people person." She said. I saw her jerk something and saw it was headphones. "Music to loud for them?" I asked. She nodded.
"Why did you come to the party if you don't like people?" I asked. "I babysit Toby. Charlotte's son. She said I should get out more." I nodded. I looked her over. I noticed that her hand was on her wrists, nails digging into them.
"How about I walk you back to your room. I can tell you don't want to be here. You shouldn't force yourself. I think I should head back as well I need to work tomorrow." I offered standing.
She looked up at me, she reminded me of a child. She nodded and stood. I took hold of her arm to held lead her out of the busy and crowed place. She tensed and jerked away.
I looked at her confused.
"Please don't touch me." She said. She then walked off, I followed her.
We was now in the elevator, I was able to get a good look at her.
She was a beautiful girl. If only I could see her face more clearly.
"How old are you?" I asked. "I'm twenty three." She replied. I nodded. I thought she had to be in her late teens.
We waited in the elevator. I saw we was on the same floor. I walked here to her door. I looked at her wrist and saw she was still digging her nails into her wrist. Now her wrist was bleeding.
"Oh dear. Let me look at that!" I said as my doctor instincts kicked in. She flinched when I took hold of her wrist.
"We need to clean it." I said. "Its fine. I'll clean it please let go." She whispered. "Please. Though I'm a doctor in phycology, I do have some knowledge on how to help you." I said with a smile.
"Will it get you away quicker if I said yes?" She asked. I grinned and nodded.
She jerked her bleeding wrist away and opened the door. I walked inside and saw dogs standing at the door growling at me.
"Sentar." She commanded. The dogs sat and but didn't stop growling threatingly at me. "Amistoso." She commanded once more and the dogs all stopped barking.
"The first aid is this way. But before you walk in imma have to ask you to take your shoes off and put the plastic shoes on." She said before doing it herself but took off her socks and slipped some slippers on.
So she is a clean freak. I looked around. Didn't look like she was but I wasn't going to judge. I listened and she looked at me then her dogs. "Free dogs." She said and they ran at me to smell me.
"I've trained them to attack at command so if you do anything they will kill you." She said walking away. I felt myself gulp.
I followed her as best as I could trying to not step on the dogs.
She grabbed the first aid kit and a plastic cover.
"No offence but your dirty so if you need to sit, please sit on this. But also before you touch anything there is the sink." She said pointing to the kitchen. I nodded and went in to wash my hands. I then took the first aid and had her sit.
She put the plastic cover on the couch and we both sat on it.
She closed her eyes and bit her lip as she slowly held her arm out.
"So what part of the Spectrum are you in?" I asked. She looked at me. "Sorry. But I'm in phycology. Its my job to study the brain of others. So I kinda noticed the signs." I said, as I gently took her wrist. She flinched but soon relaxed.
"High Functioning Autisim, and ADHD." She said. I got to work. "So why did you train your dogs to attack people?" I asked keeping her distracted. "I don't feel safe here. The people are insane. All they do is party and get drunk. They rape people and beat them while drunk. I don't want to risk the chance of someone breaking in and attacking me.... I know... never mind you'll think I'm crazy like everyone else does." She said with a huff.
"Tell me I wont judge you." I said wrapping her wrist up.
"I know something bad is going to happen. Here. At the High Rise. My father doesn't believe me, no one does. But I know. I plan on leaving this place before it happens." She said.
"You should stop doing this to yourself. You already have scars." I told her. She looked at where our skin touched confused. "Have you ever tried touch therapy?" I asked. She looked at me, and shook her head no.
"Shall we try?" I asked. She gulped and nodded. I released her hand and let my hand softly glide up her fishnet covered arms.
"You ok?" I asked. She weakly nodded, I noticed that her eyes were shut. I reached up and brushed her hair out of her face to see her face more clearly.
She really was beautiful.
She jerked away as my fingers brushed her cheek.
"That's enough." She said. I saw a dog run over and rub its furry head into her hand. She rubbed it, calming down.
"A medic dog?" I asked. She nodded.
"I'm hungry. Do you want to eat?" She forced out. I stood. "No I should go." I said. "My mom said that if someone is a guest in your home you offer a beverage and food if its dinner time or lunch." She said.
"If you don't mind." I said. "I do. I'm just being nice... and.. um sociable." She said. I couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was.
She told me to sit and she will bring something out.
I listened and when she came back she handed me a plate.
"It's my leftover taco ring. I always make a bunch so I have something quick for lunches." She said sitting with the same type of food on her plate, and dug in after what looked like praying.
I dug in as well. It was really good.
