Secrets (A Smaude Fanfiction)

Chapter 1:

Maude's POV

It had been a few weeks since the livestream, since the the kiss. Sam and I had started dating shortly after, but we were keeping it secret from the fans. They would go crazy.
Today we were meeting up at the dog park so Zelda and Dwight could play together while we hung out. Right now I was waiting for Sam's knock.

Sam's POV

I pulled up to Maude's house with the biggest smile on my face. Happy to the face we were finally together. I know I should have done something way earlier, but I didn't want to ruin our great friendship and work relationship. When we shared the kiss the chemistry was undeniable and I took a chance....

*Flashback*

The livestream had just ended, and my mind was still reeling. 1 million subscribers. That kiss. Maude was leaving. This one of the best nights of my life but I was also sad I wouldn't be seeing my best friend everyday at work. I knew this was my time to say something. So I waited until the perfect time.
An hour later, party was winding down and everyone was starting to leave. I grabbed her hand and started to pull her away from the crowd.

"Woah, where are we going?" She gasped.

"Just follow me" I laughed.

Finally pulling her into an empty room. Coming to a stop and turning to face her. When I stared in to her crystal blue eyes, and losing my train of thought.

"Sam," Maude coughed, pulling me back to reality.

"Oh I wanted to tell you something," Giggled, "Well I know you're leaving and you have all these great opportunities but I'm just hoping you'll come back and visit,"

"I already said I would" she laughed.

"Well I just, well the truth is over the last year I have the greatest time of my life, and you're my best friend. Sometimes I just want us to be more than friends you know," I rambled.

She cut me off with a kiss, "I feel the same way," she said, pulling back.

*end of flashback*

And the rest is history as they say. I strolled up to her door. Dwight's leash in hand, and knocked on her door. Seconds later I was greeted with her beautiful face.

"Hi Bunny," she greeted, with a peck in the lips.

"Hey, you ready to go?" I asked, extending my hand out.

"Yep" she smiled, putting her hand in mine.

Her cold hands, something I started to love, matched perfectly with my warm ones. We decided to walk to the park from her house, since it wasn't that far. The walked was filled with playful banter and good times.
When we reached the gated park we released the dogs and found a bench close by.

"So how's work?" Maude asked, settling in beside me.

"It's going good, but of course the fans miss you," I responded.

"Well of course were would they be without their daily dose of Smaude." She joked, laying her head on my shoulder. I couldn't help but laugh along to her joke.

"Only if they knew it was real," I sighed

"The sub Reddit would go bat shit crazy!" She laughed, leaning into me.

Maude's POV

Spending this time with Sam was now my favorite pass time. A couple hours and plenty of laughs later we were walking back to my house, dogs on leashes following behind. When we reached my house the sun was just beginning to set so I invited him in for dinner. We walked in, releasing the dogs, and they scattered off. We decided to toss in a pizza and watch a movie, as I put in the pizza I felt arms wrap around me and Sam placed his head on my shoulder.

"Do you know how fucking cliché this is, Right?" I laughed, leaning into the touch.

"Shh," he giggled, "Just enjoy the moment."

I nodded, turning to face him and kissing him which turned into a little make out session.

"Let's go pick i movie," I said, pulling back and fixing my hair.

I started to walk into the living room, smirking back at a flustered Sam. He quickly followed, standing at my side in front of my huge movie collection.

"My votes for The Princess Bride" I say, pulling it off the shelf.

"No way, Nope, Not happening" he refuse.

"Come on Bunny!!!" I pleaded giving him my cutest look.

"Fine, you're lucky you're cute," he huffed, crossing his arms.

I gave him a kiss on the cheek and placed the DVD in the DVD player. Just then the kitchen timer went off, and I pulled the pizza out of the oven.

The rest of the evening was spent eating pizza, watching the movie, Sam complaining about me quoting the movie, and lots of cuddling. Around the end the movie we fell asleep and it was the best night of sleep I've ever had.
