Jealousy wasn'tsomething that Berwald was used to. He was minimalistic in nature andwith what he did have he was protective however he was so scary thatmany would not ever really have to worry about anything.
He was veryjealous over Tino, his wife, everyone close to him caused a jealousspark to light inside his chest. However there was you, you had metMatthis and he had introduced you to the others and you hadimmediately hit it off with Tino.
You were alwaysbaking cookies with Tino or enjoying some tea and talking, orsometimes you two would just sit silently each of you doing your ownactivities and not even really speak to each other. This did not meanthat either Tino or you liked each other in a romantic sense, in allhonesty your relationship was just close friendship, closer to abrotherly-sisterly kind of bond.
Berwald didn'thate you of course, you made Tino happy so he could never hate you. Then slowly Berwald started to develop feelings for you, since he wasalways near Tino you would speak to him and you showed absolutely nofear, you were even able to understand him when he said nothing. Youweren't perfect but you were close enough to figure out what hewanted to say most of the time. Even Tino wasn't as good as you wereand he had years of practice.
You also spenttime hanging out with Lukas, Emil, and of course Matthis who youwould hang out with as well as your other friends before you metMathis. Slowly his jealousy started to be focused on Tino incompetition for you. He got protective of you instead and Tino didn'trealize it at first since he was used to the Swedish man's jealousybut slowly he noticed that he only acted that way if you were in thevicinity.
"Su-san?" Tinoasked using the nickname that they would all call him. He justgrunted so the tiny Finnish man continued on. "Do you like Name?"He asked which caused a moment for Berwald to looked shock, it waslong enough for Tino's sharp brown eyes to see. "You do, don'tyou?" He asked as the Swede just gave him the blank stare. BeforeTino could get anxious they heard the voice of the female they hadbeen talking about.
"Hey! Berwald!Tino!" You called as they turned and saw you as you waved.
"Ah Name, whatbrings you here?" Tino asked with a sly smirk, he was a kind soulbut he could be sneaky, especially if it would help his best friend.Tough love.
"I came overwith food!" You said pointing towards the basket you were carrying."Did you forget were supposed to have tea?" You asked with wide(eye color) orbs, "if you did I could leave." You added as hequickly shook your head giving you a hug.
"Of course notlovely, we just lost track of time!" He said nuzzling your cheekgently. He was a bit of a cuddler but he wasn't usually thisaffectionate but you accepted it easily. Physical contact was astrange thing for you, when you first met someone if you couldstretch out your arms and they could stretch out theirs and touch youthen they were too close, but as you got to know them that personalbubble shrinks until you would just hang on them.
"Okay," yousaid with a bright smirk pulling out some (specialty baked item)."Here you go." You said happily handing the baked treats first toTino than Berwald who was glaring at the Finnish man. If he knew thatBerwald had feelings for you why was he flirting?
And that's how itall went through the tea and treats. Tino doing subtle flirting withyou and Berwald getting jealous while you were completely obliviousto it all. Leaving to get the others since you got into a argument ofwhich of the Nordic countries were the best and all of them were fromdifferent Nordic countries, all here at (country) for a year of beingan exchange student.
