Case 5.The Sabotage

Zack's P.O.V

The night in the city is almost as same as in the daylight. The only difference is the scenery during the night is more beautiful with those many shining lights in the city. It was 11.40 pm and I'm still in the meeting room. The others have done their work earlier than I expected...huh...why do I have to be the one late. After a few minutes, I have finally finished up all the work on my desk and was on my way to my room when suddenly my phone rang.

'A message?From?'

I opened my phone and shown the message was from Lana with said.

"Come to the rooftop. I need to talk to you about something."

I was curious.I replied her a message.

"What do you want to talk about? Can't it be tomorrow??"

No reply. I thought she might have sent it earlier so I checked the time she sent but it was 12.00 a.m...it was just now.

'Hmm...well I guess its something important... maybe about the case? But why didn't she just come to the meeting room? And why rooftop? Just to take some air? Or is it something besides the case? Ah...I dunno'

As I was thinking to myself I was already walking on my way to the rooftop. Without realization, I was in front of the door to the rooftop. I took a deep breath and open the door to see her backing me,staring at the scenery. She didn't move even an inch.

'Maybe she didn't notice me?' I thought.

"Yo."

"Ah! Who's there?" Said Lana turning around on her guard.

"Hey relax...it's just me. You told me to come here remember?" She nodded.

I couldn't see her face much from a far as the light behind her shone bright with the lights.

"So...what is it that you wanted to tell me?" I asked.

She became silent and walked towards me. I only watched as her move began faster at every second. As she was already close to me, she took out something from her pocket. Her speed was constant. Before I can even react I feel a sharp pain in my stomach.

"Eh..."

Everything went blank. I dunno what just happen. I looked down at my stomach and blood was gushing out of it. At Lana's hand was a pocketknife! I looked up at Lana.

"Why...Lana..." As I look up at her, I was shocked.

Lana said something and ran away. I fell down as I was holding my stomach.

'Thats...'

"Ugh...anyone...help..."

Normal P.O.V

(In the control room)

"Argh...there's nothing here. Maybe we should call it a night." Said a night guard while yawning.

"You know we can't right." Said another night guard.

"Nah...its okay...its not like anything happen now, am I right?" Asked the first person to the third.

"Hmph." Answered the third night guard as if not agreeing with him.

The two night guards argued while the third night guard just lazily watch the security camera. As he watch the security camera , his eyes suddenly opened wide as he saw a bloody scene.
