My mom looked at me and smiled. I quickly put on my headphones and played, "No Love by August Alsina featuring Nicki Minaj as I looked out the car window.
"It's going to be okay. You have nothing to be nervous or scared about." my mom said with a small smile. I nodded my head slowly, i bit my bottom lip. My phone went off, i looked at my phone with a small smile. My friend, Amber sent me a text message saying: Hey, i miss you already. What are you up too? I'm eating pancakes and eggs. Hit me up. Love you boo!
I quickly read the text and replied with: Heyy, I'm on my way to my new school. I miss you too babe, I'm soooo nervous. I love you too boo!
About 20 minutes of texting Amber, we finally arrived at my new school. I slowly took off my headphones and put them in my pocket. "Here we are. LionPaw high school. Looks awesome, doesn't it Alex?" My mom said as she parked at the sidewalk slowly. I got out of the passenger side door and looked at the school. "It's looks massive mom."i said as we walked into the school. A lady in a black t-shirt and blue jeans sat at the front desk, watching people go by. "Stay here. I'm going talk to the lady at the front desk." My mom said as she walked over to the lady, i looked around and sat down in a blue chair with my headphones in my ears, playing "Kisses Down Low" by Kelly Rowland. A girl with black hair and dark chocolate skin with light brown eyes, in a green shirt and black jeans walked up to me. I looked up and smiled at the girl. "Hi, I'm Kim. Are you new here?" Kim said as she opened her notebook and started to write something in it before closing the notebook. "Yes, i am. I'm Alex. My mom is talking to the lady at the front desk." I said as i held out my hand for Kim to shake it. Kim took my hand and shook it friendly. 10 minutes of talking to each other, my mom came back with some papers. "I see you made a new friend Alex. What's your name honey?" My mom asked Kim. Kim shook hands with my mother, "I'm kim. Its nice to meet you." Kim said smiling. "It's nice to meet you too, kim. Here you go Al, this is your schedule. Its was your schedule and your locker number, I'll pick you up after school." My mom said as she gave me my schedule and kissed my forehand. "Thank you mom, see you later!" I said as i watched my mom leave the school building. Kim looked at me and said, "your locker is two lookers away from mines. I'll show you around the school. What's your first period class?" I smiled and looked at my schedule. "It's Mr. Charles. Room 286." I replied. "Great, we have first period together. We also have math and social studies together too. " Kim said with a small smile as we walked together to our first class of the day.
