*TW homophobic slurs*
I run up to my friend Jasper."Do you feel it?" I ask him.
"Yeah. What do you think is going to happen?" He replies.
"I don't know."
"I guess we'll find out soon enough."
Jasper is like me. Everyone who is friends with us is one of us. We're all aware of how fake the world that we live in is. The only comfort we have is each other. If somebody from the outside became friends with us, they'd probably think that we were insane.
Jasper's twin sister, Harper walks up to us. She's beautiful with her brilliant red hair and clear green eyes, plus she has amazing curves. I, in comparison am dull with my brown hair, brown eyes, and flat chest that you would expect to see on a 10 year old boy. I don't know what she sees in me.
"Hey babe." She says to me, snaking her arm around my shoulder and kissing my cheek. I blush.
"Hey H, why are you late?" Jasper questions.
"I woke up late. I was up all night making a birthday present for the prettiest girl in the world." She says, pulling me tighter towards her.
"Oh, get a room you two."
Harper laughs, and the three of us head into the school.
Our school is small, at least compared to others. There's only about 600 students, so I have to live with unfortunate reality of knowing pretty much everybody.
"Hey look! It's the lesbos!" Mark Lucas calls out. "Hey Harper, one night with me will turn you straight."
She lunges at him, and Jasper and I have to hold her back.
"It's not worth it. C'mon, let's go." I murmur into her ear. She spun around and glared at me in disbelief, then stormed off.
"She'll come around. She always does." Jasper comforts me.
"I hope so."
