Maya left the door in a hurry. Her long wavy brown hair whipped across her face, her peircing blue eyes stung her as the wind nipped at her rosy cheeks.
Her footsteps clattered against the sidewalk and echoed around her. She heard her name being called a dozen of times but she ignored them, rounding the next corner.
She could feel him trailing her not far behind. Fortunately for Maya, she was a member of the track team, so she was quick on her feet. Unfortunately, though, her opponent was also.
"Maya!!" A familiar voice rang through the streets. She tried not to turn around and look at the person but it was quite difficult. Suddenly, she felt a strong hand clasp her shoulder. She turned around in surprise, having no doubt that she could outrun her challenger. "Maya!" The person said out of breath. Maya wiggled out of his grasp and placed her hands firmly on her hip.
"What do you want?" She asked defiantly, wanting no part of this drama that was about to come.
"I want to say I'm sorry. For everything. For letting mum be like that. For not telling you." The person responded, his voice sounding sincere and sympathetic, but Maya was to furious to notice the sympathy and hurt.
"Louis! If you haven't noticed, it's a bit late for that now!" Maya's voice rose and looked up at her older brother, Louis Tomlinson.
You may be wondering if that is the Louis Tomlinson from the world-wide famous band called One Direction. If you guessed that, you seem to be correct.
You see, Maya Amber Flores never knew anything about her biological relationship between the star. In fact, she didn't even know who he was in the first place.
