*Two days before*

"Hey, Maya." The brown haired boy called.

Maya had never met the boy before. How did he know her name? "Who are you?" She asked immediately. The boy chuckled.

"Louis. Louis Tomlinson." He replied with a shining smile. She raised an eyebrow suspiciously, "How do you know my name?" She questioned. By that time, the perfect smile had faded, leaving only a worried look on the celebrity's face. "I-I dunno. It ca-came to me, I g-guess." He stuttered.

It left Maya speechless. Surely, that was a lie. How does a stranger's name just come to you?

"You're lying." Maya told the stranger firmly. He sighed. She smirked victoriously. "Tell me, Louis." She demanded. She wanted to know. Maya was that curious character, anything puzzling or odd she wanted to discover the answer for.

Louis looked down, "Not here." Maya crossed her arms, frustrated. "Well, I would like to know. I don't care how important this situation is, I would like to know the answer for this!" She exclaimed. Louis rolled his eyes. "Fine. If you want to be so annoying, here." With that, the star handed Maya a slip of paper and turned away.

Maya glanced at the perfect handwriting quickly. "Louis, what is this?"She asked looking up. Louis went over to her.

"My number. Call me when you're free. I need to have a word with you. It'll take a while to explain everything." Louis replied softly as he left. Maya hid the paper in the depths of her handbag as she left the formal, not looking back.

She was determined to know what was going on between Louis and her.

"Louis?" Maya asked the stranger on the other line. She had decided that the perfect time for Louis to explain the dilemma was now. She had nothing to do that day. It was a Sunday, which meant no work for the employees at her job, the local grocery store.

"Yeah it's me. I need to come over to explain, is now a good time?" Louis answered from the other line. Maya nodded, but remembered that he couldn't see her. "Yeah. I'll text you my address." Maya told him. She hung up and immediately texted Louis the location of her cozy flat.

Within minutes, the breathless Tomlinson appeared at Maya's doorstep. As soon as she opened the door, he collapsed on her couch as Maya sat across from him.

"Well, Tomlinson, you have quite a bit of explaining to do." Maya told him and shooting him a glare. He sighed, "Fine. But this might take a while." Maya nodded. But before Louis had a chance to explain, Maya went over to her kitchen and received two cups of warm hot chocolate. She brought them to Louis as he took the mug gratefully.

"Now, let's start by saying this, I will explain on one condition," Louis paused and looked at Maya straight in the eye, "I will explain the story. However, you must not interrupt. That'll make this longer and more difficult to explain." Louis said. Maya confirmed the deal with a simple nod.

"Alright. Here's the big thing, you're my sister." Louis started. Maya gasped but tried not to say anything.

"We're two years apart, and our friends used to say that we look a lot alike. When I was four years of age, my singing career had started and our mum could tell. So she decided to abandon you because she thought you were not good enough. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. I think I'll explain with no emotion whatsoever so I can get through this. Anyways, our mum sent you to an orphanage and after a week, a family adopted you.

"But what confused me the most is why she kept my other four sister, yet she decided to hide you. I thought you were amazing and the best sister I could ever had. I mean, I understand that we were born before them but I've always wondered why she didn't send them off and kept them unlike you. In fact, I've always been fonder of you than my other siblings. Our mother made me vow to never tell you about your past but I figured now is the right time. You ought to know about it. I've had people go to your school and keep an eye on you. I wanted to know how you were doing and what type of person you were. And don't worry, I never wanted anybody to actually be your friend because if you found out, which you have already I guess, then I didn't want to make you feel like you had fake friends and I didn't want to hurt you." Louis took a sip of his drink and sighed. Maya tried to hold back the tears of fury and sadness but it was difficult. Her own mother abandoned her? Just because she wasn't good enough? Maya felt as if a great hole just caved in her heart.

"You know, crying isn't a bad thing. You can cry in front of me." Louis told her softly. And with that, she broke. She began sobbing into Louis' shirt and just feeling empty. "I'm sorry, Maya, I shouldn't have told you this. I'm so sorry." Louis looked at her with actual sympathy. But Maya didn't notice it.

Her feelings at that time were overwhelming her. Making her confused and out of place. It was quite rare when Maya felt lost and unanswered. But unfortunately, now was one of those times.

So many emotions flew in her body. Sad, hatred, loneliness, relief and anger. It was like the emotions were battling each other, fighting over control. Eventually, it seemed that anger had won the war.

"I don't care, Louis. Saying you actually cared, I bet that's a pathetic lie." Maya spat as she stormed out of her flat and ran off to no where.
