The Sky Is Grey

Day 4

Johan and Ana eat breakfast in a cafe near a petrol station. Ana orders a salad because she doesn't want to be that fat girl that eats even though everyone can see how huge they are. Johan just looks at Ana in between bites of his beef burger.

"Stop that", Ana says suddenly.

"Stop what?", Johan pretends as if he doesn't know what Ana is referring to.

" Stop looking at me. I'm not precious china that's going to break if you don't it watch every minute of the day", Ana replies," It makes me feel self-conscious when you do that."

"Did you know Virginia Woolf had a thing with another chick named Vita?", Johan says a grin appears on his face.

Ana smiles and nods her head. She had an obsession with Virginia Woolf for a year (in the most platonic way possible). She even asked Johan to paint her favourite quote by Virginia Woolf on her wall. The quote is still there.

"You cannot find peace by avoiding life", Johan and Ana say at the same time.

They both laugh and Ana realises that Johan's hair is browner and his eyes more green in winter.

Johan notices that Ana has a little dimple on her cheek that he didn't know was there. She is always surprising me, he thinks as another smile emerges on his face.
