After my encounter with devon I got myself together and strutted in to to class like the bad bitch I am until I realized the only open seat was next to devon I looked up and saw he had a sly smirk on his face and I loved every bit of it.
"Ms.Jones take a seat next to Mr.smith please."
o o ok Damn it I studdered he probably thinks I'm an idiot!
I headed towards "my seat" next to a cheesing devon and once I made it I slowly sat down and didn't even glance his way.
"wassup ma?"
what am I supposed to say I'll just pretend I didn't hear it.
"hey you not talking to me now?"
I can't say anything I don't need a man
"I see how it is you don't have to worry about me bothering you again."
when I took a glance at him he put his head down and he looked sad, maybe I should apologize... I'll do it after class.
the whole class we didnt speak a word just writing down notes and finally the professor released us after he gave us our next assignment and as soon as I turned to apologize Devon was already almost out the door.
"Devon wait !!! I yelled after him as I started to jog so I could catch up."
"Devon wait up!!!" he finally turned around and just stared at me.
"Look devon I'm really sorry I just I'm um im just..."
"your just what?"
"I just can't... I dont wanna.. I dont want to.."
"man forget this shit talk to me when you can get your words out" he started walking away but I finally got it out
"I just don't wanna let someone else in just to get let down!!!!!" he stopped walking and turned around we just stared at each other until Devon spoke.
"I just wanna be friends for now ma. Once we establish that then we can go from there. That cool with you?" He said.
I smiled and looked down at my shoes happy that he was willing to work with me because most guys wouldn't. I assumed he was waiting for a response so I looked up and said
"Yeah that's cool with me." With a small smile.
Devon smiled back at me and said
"Alright then I'll see you next class then, maybe we can get lunch after and get to know each other?"
"Sounds like a plan" I said
And with that we both walked our separate ways.
