IMPORTANT!!!!

I'm currently changing chapter 1 and 2 and so i am deleting the two. Both the edited chapters will be on as soon as possible.

Prologue

Pop music quietly played out of my car radio, the windows were open, whipping my long crimson hair all over my face. The music stopped and a tinny voice spoke out of it.

"Okay folks, here's for the news update: The Americ-" i switched off the radio angrily, i couldn't listen to the annoyingly cheery voice of the radio presenter right now.

I glanced down at the speedometre and realised i was driving at 100mph. Sighing, I slowed down. I probably shouldn’t be driving when I was this angry, but today just wasn’t my day.

I had overslept, I had to rush to get dressed and got stuck in the rush hour traffic that I usually miss. An hour later I arrived at work, the city’s local Starbucks, to find that the new take out cups hadn’t been delivered and my boss was taking a “personal day” and wasn’t there to sort it all out. It was also just me and a trainee working today and he kept getting all the orders wrong. And on top of all of that, my sister had just called me, asking for more money.

The thing with my sister is, we never got on, not as kids, and not now. She gets on my nerves, and apparently I get on hers. Yet she still asks me for money so she can spend it on god knows what drugs and alcohol? She ran away with her boyfriend a year and a half ago and I guess she went downhill from there.

So now after the phone call, I am driving back to my apartment probably too recklessly. But at the moment I couldn’t care less.

I drove up to an intersection, and before checking the lights, I drove through. I heard the blaring sound of a horn and my head snapped to the right to see the big red truck hurtling towards where my faded blue beetle would be any second. Screaming, I slammed on my brakes and wrapped my arms around my head.

Yet I never felt the impact, I didn’t hear the truck pass or stop, and I stopped and was jolted around in my seat.  I slowly lowered my arms. I was too shocked to do anything else but sit there in my car, in the middle of the intersection. But everything had… disappeared. I was the only one left. And then a blinding white light was plastered against my eyes.

And then it all went black.

Okay, so I’ve been thinking about this story for ages now and I’ve finally came round to writing it. Now, not much has happened yet because it’s just the introduction chapter, but what do you guys think?

Any comments, good or bad, will be greatly appreciated. Constructive comments are even better.

Thanks for reading and I will try to upload as soon as I can.
