Alyssa
It's wet. I can't feel anything. I look up to see him, he is shouting at me. What is he saying? I feel like I'm fading away. I close my eyes, only to feel pounding on my chest. I open them, all i see is lights and people, they are crowding around me. Two men lift me into the vehicle with bright lights. Is this the end?
I open my eyes, I can't breathe. My phone is ringing loudly next to me. Wow that dream gave me the chills. I look at my phone shoving away the thought of the dream, it's my mom.
Mom: Go to the store, I need some chocolate.. covered strawberries. Yeah that's what I want. :)
I laugh and shake my head. It's surprising how much pregnant women crave things. The other day we had to go all the way to town to buy her something from Taco Bell, that was also the day her doctor said she was having a baby boy, she and my father decided they were naming him Elijah Shawn Stiles.
I yell back to her, she's just in the next room, "Mom! I'm right here was it really necessary to text me. You could have just yelled for me." She must be moving around because I can hear her. "Yes! It was necessary because you wouldn't answer me. Are you going or not?" she yelled back.
I finally gained the strength to get up so I can go to her room. I hate waking up from a night mare, I've been having a dream about the same guy, for weeks now. I didn't have hardly any sleep last night. I was to busy talking to my boyfriend, Jessie. He is so perfect, but we have been fighting a lot lately. I'm sure everything will be okay. He's so amazing, I really don't know what I would do without him...
"Alyssa?" My mom was now standing in front of me."Oh yeah, I'll go. You know when I'm older. You're going to have to do all these things for me when I'm pregnant." I say back, rolling my eyes in a playful way.She looks at me as if I just said something completely wrong but then she laughs. "Fine. I will but that time better as hell be a long time from now. I'm not even playing with you. You're only seventeen years old. So, we will think about all this whenever you're out of college, settled down with a husband, and when you're thirty... five"
I walk down the hallway laughing as I see our toy poodle, Jenks. I pick him up and go to give him a kiss on his little head, but it smells as if he rolled in something rotten. His black hair has a bit of dust on it. I look at him and say "Looks like I'm gonna have to give you a bath tonight." I can tell he knows what I said because he put his ears down as I said it and gave me a pitiful look. I put him down and he runs straight to my mom's room.
I can already hear her cussing at him for his odor. "Three.. Two.. One," I counted down, and then my mom yells "Alyssa! Give Jenks a bath tonight please." I went back and said "I will, but where is dad?" My mom drops back down on her bed. "He just left for work, honey." She replied with a gentle smile. She looks so miserable, she has bags under her eyes. This pregnancy thing must be getting to her, that or its a sign of old age. Either way I'm never having kids because of her condition. "Okay well I'm going to go get dressed so I can go to town. Do you mind if I stop by Jessie's house?" I asked with my miserable 'I haven't done anything all weekend' look.
"Sure. Just, please don't forget to go to the store and I want you home by seven. Got it?" she interjects. "I will!" I hurry up and leave to my small room before she changes her mind. She hardly ever lets me go to my boyfriend's house. I mean it's not my fault that she got pregnant with me when she was only sixteen. Right? She doesn't have to act all worried as if I'm going to make the same mistake. She should trust me not to make stupid choices, I mean I do kind of want to wait. I don't want to rush anything and regret it later. I can't even imagine having a kid right now.
I put my blonde hair up in a messy bun, slip on a pair of my shorts from my closet, and a simple blue shirt. Then I look in the mirror, I look okay. I hate how short I am though. I've got a small petite figure, I look at my eyes. I wish they were a lighter blue than they are, they look more green than they do blue. I put a little mascara on, with a little lip gloss, then head out of my room. As I go out the door I grab my blue jean jacket, put on my flip flops, and grab the keys. I'm so out of here.
