The Experiment

So I wonder if she's ever gonna text me. Okay yes it was a bit creepy. Maybe she's different, like me. I keep having flashes of us.

"She's definitely different Daniel.. She could be one of us. And this feeling you're having, control it. We don't know if we can trust her." Zane says interrupting my thoughts.

"Zane I can't.. I just feel like.. what am I feeling?" I ask him.

"Well, that's something you're going to have to figure out yourself. You just have to be careful. It depends on all of our lives. Just keep that in mind." He said in a serious tone.

"Trust me I can handle this. Just please get out of my room I'm thinking. Oh and do me a favor and stop listening in on my thoughts. Okay? Thanks." I say rudely pushing him out the door and locking it. He worrys to much. I walk over to my desk and begin to write in my journel.

"October 21, 2020" I began to write in my journal.

"So far there are four of us. There's Zane, Kendal, and Jason. We all pretty much have the same abilities. We are some of the few that got lucky to stay here and be raised with eachother, to understand that we are different from others. We were raised by Dr. Susan Carter. She helps us learn new abilties and learn to control them.

When we were born, a group of scienist did a little experiment. An experiment they did on eight babies that were put up for adotion. We all have the same birthdays. Four of us were put in a home together, knowing about who we are. And well the other four were put in different places, which was a total mix up. They weren't supposed to ever separate from us. But some stupid scientist thought they were normal. Let's just say he was fired. Anyways this experiment they did was dangerous, we could have died, but it worked.

They made it to where we can access different parts of our brains. They made us abnormal. We had unbelievable abilties. We grew faster than any normal baby but that stopped at the age of 3. They weren't sure why we grew faster. They also programed different things in our minds. And I just feel drawn to this girl. I keep feeling like I need to be by her and protect her and care for her. I have to find her. What does she have to do with this?"

I close my journel and try to stop thinking about her. I lay down looking up at my ceiling. It's getting darker and darker as the day turns into night. Slowly I start to go into a daze when I here my phone vibrate. I jump up hoping it's Alyssa.

Unknown Number: Hey Dan?

Dan: Yes? Can I ask who this is?

It's her! I knew she would text me. My heart starts pounding faster and faster.

Unknown Number: It's Alyssa. Lol did you not think I would text you?

Dan: Honestly, I had no idea. But I'm happy you did :)

Alyssa: Do you wanna hang out some time? Like maybe in the morning?

I can't stop smiling. I have goosebumps and I'm just exicited.. of its a yes Alyssa. This is crazy, I just met her and I'm already obsessed. But wait.. I can't show it. I'll just tell her yes and that I'm busy or that I have to go to sleep. No, I'll say..

Dan: Of course but hey I have to go to sleep. So goodnight!

Alyssa: Okay well meet me by the hospital. Lol that's weird, but I'll see you then. Sweet dreams :)

I get up and cross the room to look out my window. Wait why did I just tell her I'm going to sleep. I'm not even tired. I look around at the stars and how they are lined up. This is going to be a restless night just thinking about her. She's so beautiful. I have to make her mine. It will happen.
