Chapter 1
A/N hey this is my first story I've written... I'm not sure that it will be very good so pleazzzzz go easy on me. Also I'm really bad at editing so if there are any big mistakes don't be afraid to point them out! And if like the story then please vote!!! just so that you know the places and people are not actual people and/or places and any resemblance to real life people is unintentional....
Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1
I push through a crowd of people on the fair ground, I've always hated them, their way to crowded and stuffy. But today I wasn't here to eat cotton candy or ride the marry-go-round, I was on a mission. I no matter how hot the presence of all these people in such a small place I felt a shiver run down my back as I thought about what I was going to do tonight. I don't know anything about why I'm here, its all a blur but its urgent I have to meet up with him or something horrible will happen.
I look at the huge clock suspended above the crowd, it was 11:55, I have five minutes to find him in the crowd. I looked around where we agreed to meet which is at the one and only replica of the Statue of Liberty in the entire fair. I double checked earlier to confirm this is the place but I still couldn't find some one that was wearing the black hat with a red bandana that they said they would be wearing. I walked around and made sure i could see every person in the crowd but i couldn't find him any where.
There was something seriously wrong, he was never late. I got my phone out of my pocket to make sure i didn't miss any messages from him and just as i was putting it back away into my pocket i felt it buzz. I looked down at my phone. We need to change the place. Someone trailed you. Black hair, bright blue eyes, navy jacket, dragon sector tattoo. he texted.
I looked around and saw a navy flash go behind the cotton candy booth and to the alleys behind them. I'm going to clear him. I texted back to the mysterious "him".
I moved back towards the cotton candy both and slipped behind it making sure that I wasn't seen. I looked at the street that was running back behind the booths in this row. It was dark and the air surrounding me wasn't preferable to the stuffy humid air I was in earlier, I smelled of cigarette smoke and rotting decay. I shivered at the deserted street, the only things I could see where an abandoned car parked on the side of the road and a drunk couple making out graphically up one of the other alleys leading off the narrow road . I stepped out into the road and took my high heels off, ready to make a run for it.
All of the sudden the abandoned car had a hooded figure in it, the car raced forward, heading straight for me. I wasn't fast enough to react. I just stood there and stared, trying to do as people always told me. I was observing because I had nothing better to do, I could have seen his short black hair hidden under his hood or his angled face that showed no emotion but all I took in was his cold blue ice eyes. His eyes locked with mine as he kept driving straight towards me, never slowing down. I knew was going to get hit, probably even die but I didn't care. Seconds before I felt the pain I saw some thing in his eyes; regret. I felt the impact of the car hitting my hip then flipping me over the hood of the car.
I woke up on my bed, sweating and shaking. I looked over at my clock on the night stand, it said 3'00 un which is supposed to be 3:00 am but over half the lights in it are broken because I found it at a garage sale.
I sat up and looked around my stingy little apartment, it was so small that I can look at the kitchen, which is over on the other side of the apartment and I can see it clearly. In fact it was only ten feet away from my bed side. My apartment is just the opposite of cluttered, all the furnishing I have in here is a nice water mattress, a night stand, a simple desk and chair set and some food in the kitchen. This is the most I could afford without a roommate so I was going to have to survive.
I get up with a sudden urge to have a energy drink. I walk over to the mini fridge that I recently was able to afford and opened it up. I found that all I have is a left over sandwich and an energy drink. Shoot, I thought as I got my drink out, I am going to have to go out grocery shopping. I'm not a very social person and have issues trusting people, it was something about my past. I woke up in a hospital with a concussion and internal organ damage. The one thing that I didn't have were my memories, I tried remembering things for the first few months I was out of the hospital but nothing came. The closest thing I have to a past is that nightmare that follows me around.
I guess I got out lucky, the fact that you have no identified parents is usually really hard for people to survive with but for me it just meant that I qualified for a 10,000 dollar paycheck as I like to think of it because I have no parents and I have a "condition". So every week I receive the paycheck for sitting around and drinking cola.
